hmm.... that's true but i donn't see how you can have tons of mana in a siege when you probably will have done lots of fighting before and the only way to survive is casting. but again you are right when you say you don't need much to elimnate the enemy if you are lucky (empowered implo+ luck).

You forgot one thing: Dwarves like Light Magic = Teleport . they could easily get magma Dragons to the frontlines . But yes they are not the best .. Atleast make it average...
(they also favour the destrucktion magic, where armegeddon, fireball and meteor shower could turn things up sidee down... With Rune of Res. the foes shooters might not be that good in the long wrong either.)
Agreed but it was only what I think about them. Sure every faction could be good with right skills and spells. They are below average when you compare them to other factions ability to siege. But this really depends what skill you teach and what spells you get from magic guild.

Agreed. Itīs a totally chaos inside the walls while the real troops are still outside +added some frenzy to some enemy unit. Opponent will have hard time to defend against them
