If you could change the world, what would you do?
If you were able to change the world for the better, what exactly would you do?
I know I would try to put an end on poverty.
Making a lot of the poorer places a bit better, and put an up to the living standards in those places so they would not be dying as much.
Of course, people dying can be a good and bad thing, and sorry if that sounds harsh, but just think about it for a second before making a negative reply against me.
If there were not as many deaths in this world, I am pretty sure that Earth would be too overpopulated and that there would be so many people on this planet that there would be no more room, it would be chaos.
Putting an end to poverty would however make this place a better place, because no one really likes death now do they?
Now, what would you do to make this place a better place?

Explain why?
War is not really good at all, because of the number of deaths that are accumulated.

If I could change the world, I would give the world a technology to travel between two points almost instanly (okay, a stargate) and a location of a planet, unsettled and un spoiled, abundant in recources, with a great deal of animal life involved. However, the planet has a ring of entities around it, and whenever violence that goes beyond the need for food occurs, they will put a stop to it by making weapons, other people, or animals feel very hot to the agressor. This has the following situations (problem solved):
- Places to go (overpopulation)
- Jobs [exploration, civilizers, scientists and leaders] (unenployment)
- Food (hunger)
- Somehting to do (I have this theory that a lot of wars start because people got bored)
- Recources (Fuel Shortage)
- and potentially more

It takes along while to make a huge difference in the world for the world's benefit. I, too, would help end poverty, but I'd also want to stop the wars in the middle east and also stop substance abuse worldwide.

First i would change my salary, then no work on weekends for me. Yeah that would pretty mutch change the world to better place

Killing people is indeed primitive and can never be justified. In the case of G.W. Bush, lifelong forced labour for his crimes against humanity might repay for some of the damage his government has done worldwide... It wouldn't make the world a better place though.
Humans are adaptable opportunists, who see themselves as part of smaller and larger social groups. It's what made our species survive during the dawn of our kind. Two byproducts of those traits are (completely in my opinion) xenophobia and war. To some degree, I think they will unfortunately always exist.
Lawful global enforcement of the universal declaration of human rights, ending world hunger, analphabetism, and finding a cure for some of the most devastating diseases in the world would be things I would fight for, given the chance.

*Snickers* I just cannot understand why science and religion are supposed to be opposites. There is always the case that we cannot understand something for now or that some scientific beliefs can be wrong. You cannot know either way but why not keep an open head about it?

Religion causes more strife, more pain, more suffering, more death and more war than probably any other social element in the world, and always has. Whatever good religion has brought to the world, and it has brought much, it is trumped by the evil it has brought, particularly today with the arts being largely secularized. Eliminating organized religion would go a long way towards eliminating war, and what will we lose in the bargain? I can think of nothing I can't live without. Of course, I'm being a little facetious as religion is as essential a part of humanity as anything, and you could never eliminate it. As long as people believe in anything, there will religion, and so there will always be war because people will always believe different things. I was merely making a poiont. There's only one way to eliminate war.
The only true way to eliminate war permanently is to eliminate people... which will require war. Ironic, isn't it?

i bet you're talking about chistiantry. i totaly agree with you. i aint a catholic and i never be one. im a pagan and proud of it,i worship the gods that my ancestors worshipped.
here's another thing that i want to change in the world:i would stop children criminal activities. thats a very big problem,at least in my country

I would develope a pill that completely and permanently removes all thoughts of selfishness, anger, hatred, covetousness, and greed. That way people wouldn't blame "religion" for their problems when the real reason the world is crappy is because of selfishness, anger, hatred, covetousness, and greed...
