Mordor race
I read about the Starcraft race and the werewolves, so i thaught: why not a LOTR Mordor race?
Capital: Barad Dūr of course
A few other cities: Minas Morgūl, Cirith Ongūl, Isengard, Gundabad, Gorgoroth, Udūn, Harad, Rhūn
Grail structure: The Eye of Sauron which makes you see the whole map including the underworld + the usual money and creature boost.
History: Read The Lord of the Rings
Hero's racial ability: Not quite shure.
Units
Tier 1. Orc -> Uruk
equiped with a equiped with a bowed sword, a shield
short blade and a helmet
Ability: Warkry: raises attack
initative for two turnes
Tier 2. Orc archer -> Udūn archer
equiped with a equiped with a bow, a knife and a
small bow and a helmet
knife
Tier 3. Haradman -> Harad warrior
equiped with a equiped with a bowed sword and two
bowed sword throwingspears
Ability: Strikes twice
Tier 4. Easterling -> Easterling soldier
equiped with a equiped with a large shield, a
spear and a shield helmet, armour and a helebard
Abilities: Large shield, unlimited
realation
Tier 5. Attack troll -> Olog-hai
equiped with a equiped with a warclub, armour and a
maze helmet
Ability: large Abilities: no enemy realation, large
creature creature
Tier 6. Oliphaunt -> Mumakīl
Ability: large Abilities: large creature, harad
creature archers: on the Mumakīls back
there is a platform with three
archers from Harad which works
exactly as the three towers in a sige
battle
Tier 7. Nazgūl -> Witchking
equiped with a armed with a sword, armour and a
sword iron mask/crown/helmet
Abilities: large Abilities: large creature, flyer,
creature, flyer, fear, Morgul blade: each
fear time a Whichking strike he has a
25% chance to badly poison the enemy
which each turn kills at least one
creature
I know this may not be balanced, and there are many issues. For example: there are only 9 Nazgūls including 1 Wichking, and there are no casters. But anyway this would be very fun for those who love both HOMM and LOTR

Yeah, perhaps, but do we know the names of the nazgūls? And Mumakil is a much better word than oliphaunt I think.

Hmmm, yeah Nazgul as heroes but couldnt we have them on their black horses instead. We alredy have wyverns for the orcs, why also wyverns for the nazguls? (wyvern, which is the real name for the flying horrors, fellbeasts...)

If the Nazgūls are the heros they most be on horses of course, but isn't the Fellbeast too Wyvern-looking to be an own creature? And how will the upgrade be?

Hmm, some stuff here yes. There are some names for the nazgūls, but if they are the heroes (which fit most) how can we see the difference between them? They are all the same (if the hero portraits does not show how they look like without their cloak).

Different designs on their outfits?
Eg, Ross would have silver stars, with a dagger at the center, and silver and red lining.
Chandler would have Yellowish shooting through the robe, and a necklace woven from golden thread and coins.
Joey would have sortof pale blue stylings, and perhaps rips. Mabey spikey, horny helm.
(Names are not what I am suggesting)

Shure, many people will definetly react; what has LOTR to do with HOMM? But as a huge LOTR fan I would like to see it anyway.

This whole thing should actually be very possible to put into the game when ToTE comes out. Cyclops becomes the Trolls, Blade Dancers can be turned into Haradrim, and the Wizard on the elephant can act as the Mumak. As for the Nazguls' names, only one is official - Khamul, the second-in-command to the Witch-King.

I had already been wondering when a colaboration would start making a LOTR campaign actually, after the new expansion is released.
I like this faction idea, it really fits as well. The nazgul make an excelent set of 9 heroes for starters. Sauron most likely being a campaign hero
As for the lineup, I'd be more in favour of setting Balrogs as tier 7. I don't like the idea of those eastern people with elephants in it though, they aren't very NATIVE to mordor. Those cave trolls could do well as tier 5 or 6. Also, why weren't Warg Riders named?
1 - Orc Archers (Admit it, they are crap in the movies... ) < New model
2 - Orc Warriors (again, they stink, tier 2 is a good level for them) < Orc model
3 - Warg Riders < New model
4 - Uruk Hai < new model
5 - Trolls < Use cyclop models
6 - Fellbeasts (Yeah, I think they do fit. Yeah the other orc faction has wyverns, but hey, they have cyclops and orcs too! So what?) < Pao Kai Models
7 - Balrogs (most likely to be the spellcaster of the lineup. I imagine it having a special ability to perform a whipstrike damaging 3x3 square in a short distance away, perhaps also damaging walls ) < Pit Lord model ?
At least that's roughly off the top of my head.
But yeah, people should colaborate and try to make a solid LOTR campaign, with a fully edited mod to make it fit better.

I actually thaught of making the Warg Raiders a lvl 3 unit since I have ralised that the nazgūls are the perfect heroes for Mordor, and I admit that the Oliphaunts are a bit.... don't get a proper word for them. But there should definetly be some haradmen or easterlings. They fight for Mordor just like Unicorns fight for Sylvan (and the easterlings are extremly cool!). Uruk-hais are not from Mordor, they are from Isengard and fight only for Saruman. If there can't be any haradmen or easterlings there can't be any uruk-hais either. Balrogs? Well... perhaps. They are very cool, but they have never faught for Mordor. The Moria-Balrog may have been under Sauron's influence, but he never faught openly for Mordor, and he never appeared in any battles. The very few balrogs that exist are cind of their own masters and they hide in the deepest mountains. Perhaps a spell: Conjurce/Summon Balrog. That could be an ultimate ability
