well, they are older yea, but it applies to most of the famous movies anyway. Like, say, basic instinct from 92. Now we got some dumb sequel

All the Rambo films were in the eighties (except for that so-called new one which was just this year), the first Terminator was in 1985 and the third was in 2003 I think, which leaves just Terminator 2: Judgement Day as a ninities film (either 1990 or 1991).

It's interesting imo that we call sequels like knight rider either crap or at least very funny. Back in the 90's when only a very few people got computers, internet was only a fairy tale, a film with a computerised (does this word exist in English?) self-thinking car was pretty cool!
So next time you call it crap think it over!
