Malice look back at Mindreaver totally displeased. His tone doesn't sound favorable to her ears.
"Whatever, Mr. Leader," she snarls at him,"My opinion or objection won't matter anyways. Shall we go now?"

Shagrath rose and smiled grimly.
"I am not much of a person anymore, I lost that ability a few days ago. I am not sure either if I should use my powers much more, they may end up controlling me, not me them. Anyway, where are they now?" he said, "And besides, I would like to have Malice with me. If an confrontation is needed I think she would have better use of my powers. There is no way having her somewhere she cannot help much. I think I could manage to keep both of us hidden, I ... I have some more powers now." he finished and looked over at Malice then back to Mindreaver. "What do you say?"

"I don't know if it's wise to allow another take your powers when they are still unstable, hard to control and potentially unstoppable. That would be a definite no-no as I see it unless there is something else I am not aware of."

"I don't know either..." Shagrath said, avoiding looking into his eyes. "I am not so sure about my powers anymore, they seem to evolve. I am changing into something..." he paused, thinking of a nice way to put it, but he shook his head. "Something more."
He pointed at one of the weapons close by, and it lifted from the ground.
"Telekinesis." he said, "I have never been able to do that before. I wonder how it will be if those powers collide with the power of fire and darkness ... I have been able to drain light from some places, to make it darker. I am afraid that if I use the powers myself, without another mind to aid me, it will be fatal for not only me."

Shagrath nodded and looked over at Malice.
"Be careful how you use the powers. They are hard to use and if you do it wrong you may put everything on fire. Start up with making a nice campfire on the table over there, will you?" Shagrath grinned, he had never seen anyone else use his powers entirely successfully, but if he guided her in it's use she would manage it.

"What? You want me to use your power with still unknown effects?" Malice protests.
She pause for while and looks meticulously at Shagrath. Then she turn on Mindreaver with a short glance then back again to Shagrath. After short moments of pondering her puzzled expression turned into a thrilling one. Something good had probably caught her thoughts.
"Well, I guess that's a good idea," she says gladly, "Come over here and let's try," she addresses Shagrath with a wicked smile.

As soon as the two touch, things start to go wrong immediately. Malice touch causes an unusal reaction to Shagrath. His mind is flooded with pure pleasure. Malice feels it also, and she realizes her power has grown some. Now, she produces a euphoric effect in anybody she tries to drain, causing them not to want to break the contact. However, the power she is draining, is painful. It burns her like pure fire in her veins. She sees images of hordes of demon like creatures pounding on walls as if trying to get out of someplace.
She has no choice but to break the contact quick. Yet even that breif contact has the power screaming to get out of her. To unleash itself and burn everything around. It is hard, and painful, but she manages not to unleash it, but she can feel the control slipping away. Worse, the demons are in her mind, trying to escape and cause havoc.
For the first time in a long time Shagrath feels at peace. He knows it won't last, but the rage is gone for now.

An hour later the normal struggle to keep the rage at bay started again. It came in a sudden rush, so fast that he almost gave way to it. At the same time he noticed Malice, she was unconsious, obviously because of the pain his powers had given her.
"We switched minds." he stated, "I felt peace, and she got my inner demons. My powers also bring with them the anger and lust for destruction and death. Since everyone's okey I suppose she managed to keep them at bay, but now she knows what I struggles with all the time. It's not easy."

"It feels like I have some living thing inside me that wants to break free. Like a wall with defenders which fights a war to stand against endless assaults of demons. I have enough mental to stand against it, for now." he paused and looked away, "But as I've said, if I am to use my powers again the defences will be laid down and the walls will be overrun."
He looked up again, into Mindreavers eyes. "It is too much for someone powerful as Malice, I guess I am one of the few with the power to withstand it and still be able to communicate. I am always fighting a way, look into my soul and touch the pain I am in. The pain that is more than any torture possible to give by humans. Feel what Malice have felt, and help me keep the chaos as bay."

"I will try." With that the illusionist places his fingertips on Shagrath's forehead and the world around him begins to gradually fade away..
Mindreaver feels drifting until he appears alone in the middle of a barren land surrounded with fire, rage and hostility, he is unwelcome there. He feels surrounded by chaos and random images of violence flash through his mind while his vision blurs.
It all feels overwhelming but the only solution is to stand his ground and put his thoughts aside from the chaotic mental intrusions, block them out and form a barrier of protection. Order against chaos.
Things seem clearer and it is only now that he catches a glimpse of the wall Shagrath was talking about. It is nowhere near him but he can feel its presence and the force that keeps trying to get free, many individuals that think and act as one. Behind the walls comes a cacophony of noises and screams, it is all to erratic to make out what they say but they emit feelings of hate and a passion to be released. Several cracks appear on the wall but also a familiar presence that is trying to keep them from opening more and Mindreaver feels that is his cue to help, why he had come in the first place.
The focus to overcome the opposing force is enormous, the seams from where the cracks first appeared must be located and re-sealed but even the other presence cannot alleviate his pressure - for every seal there is another burdain in mis mind. There is an ongoing progress until he feels weaker and is about to collapse, one strong bump in the wall sends him hurtling in the chaos and darkness overwhelms him.

Next thing Mindreaver knows is the air rushing in his lungs as if suddenly waking from a bad dream. A vivid one.

Shagrath opened his eyes too, and looked at Mindreaver.
"The block is stronger, and will probably last longer. For now, I am free from the fear of the evil breaking through." he said, "You felt it, didn't you? Something unpleasant in there, wanting to get you away and rip the life out of you? I kept the demons from you, it's a reason why you didn't see things so clear. I focused on protecting you while you were in there, or else you would have ended up the same way as Malice."

Shagrath gave Mindreaver a dark smile.
"Isn't that what I told you? I am something more."
Then he noticed Malice stir, and looked over at her. She sat up and touched her head carefully.
"I am sorry that, it seems like you cannot touch me without being hurt." he said, "Which means I should not get out of here at all. I should stay away from situations that may bring violence and anger at all ... but I would like company though." he added.
