Exactly. Problems with perks is that they are too situational, thats why, most ot times, its better to have many basic skills and few perks then the other way round. When you look at them they may look nice but the truth is that their real usefulness is not so good. For example i rarely take master of wrath just because i know ill be casting cleansing, magic immunity and teleport and i wont have time for casting mass haste.

It is good to see that now there is skill remover shop where you can reselect skills your want for price. This means that now all heroes can get their ultimates(finally I can get rid off that Eagle eye of Zoltan). One nice thing is that when you get level up choose dark revelation and after this reselect this skill with the new shop = +1 level for 2500gold.

Not all of them. War Machines isn't really any good without Ballista and First Aid Tent Perk, just to name an example.

Of course but:
Defense, Sorcery, Logistics , Summoning, Destructive and maybe few i forgot are usually better on their own. If you start taking perks you often end up not having main skills maxed and i believe that main skills are more powerful then perks. There are always exceptions im just saying about rule of the thumb.

Wizards for ultimate need warmachines and no magic school. So that is a big LOL and a big point of unbalance goes to....Academy.Still on the last place the Academy may be the winner of the weaker races in H5 toe

That is the point, this town is so cool and powerful that it does not need the ultimate And I am serious about it.

There are a few skills out there that are worth putting a full 6 points towards. Attack for Flaming Ballista in conjunction with War Machines makes for awesome synergy. Max defense for defensive formation for the dorfs is also terrific.
Since I play random maps pathfinding is almost a necessity if I can't find the boots of no terrain penalty in my area. Now with Swift Mind...logistics is almost demanding to have 3 perks instead of just one.
I totally agree that 3 is all u need for summoning, enlightenment, destruction, and sorcery. Cold death has possibilities but my going for that might be based off whether I believe my opponent is going to be a War Machinist. I like the idea of CounterSpell in theory but I don't like having to focus on the enemy army's spellcasters just to have the right to use it.
More I think about it the more I agree that the majority of the perks are situational. And magic skills are better as standalones than the might ones are.

How funny that there are still people that call the strongest town in H5ToTe weak.. c'mon man, we used to think that way.. two months after the original H5 was released or so. Later on people proved that academy beats everything with little effort, since it's the only castle capable of powerful earlygame AND endgame. Plus, it has a large bag of tricks and counterstrategies at its disposal. ToTe fixed things a bit, but it's still one of the best towns.
