Hmm... I have a problem with the map editor. I tried to make a map but when I put grave and academy vase it didn't show in the game, but it still shows in the editor.

in my game, for some reason, spells cast by water elementals do only 33% damage. does anybody have a clue why? i have edited a lot of things but nothing seems to explain this. i have double checked the spell power formula for minions and the mastery level of the elementals spells.

it's a line in defaultstats.xdb, a damage multiplyer for water elemental spells.

Hy,
I read a lot of things in the forum, about mods, and modding, and i would like to ask something
If we play three-person LAN games, the 8 hero per town run out soon, if we all start a same town. (Necropolis so popular, i think because we don't like got the puppet Master and frenzy spells from each other )
I can add new heroes into the game, but only cloning the existing ones.
Really no way to add new hero specialities for the game? I can't find any mod about it, which i could have used it for learning.
I also did not find any modifiable files in the data archive.
For example, i steal Nathir's Flame Wielder spec and i convert into an Earth (decay) or unholy (curse of the Netherworld) based spec, create an evil dark magic hero, because why not?
Or convert Svea spec into a 'leveling-spec' i mean her lightening based spells became stronger due for the hero level. Like Nathirs fireballs. But keep the original 'lightning-based spells are irresistible' thing. Because she a litte bit useless dwarf hero, i think (Like Dirael, the wasp queen) (Or can i fortify Dirael spec at least three times stronger?)
If i don't find any mod about it i afraid it is mean, no way....

I think Mag did what you are seeking and did it well in his HoA. But I'm no modder, so sorry if I got your question wrong.

Thank you the answer, i downloaded it previously, but magnomagus only rename the old specialities, and change their icons. Moreover some heroes in the mod have no specialition, the SPECIALITY line in the code is empty.
Yes, i would like something similar, but with really new specialities
But i am afraid it is impossible, because no one made it yet.

It is not possible to make new specs the normal way, but you can do it with map scripts. But then you are limited to the available script functions. you can study the scripts from russian TE to get some ideas (not easy):

Ok, thank you, it seems my plans failed Or rather
I was only interested in to add 'universal' heroes, which are avaible all maps, but without working with the maps and their scripts.

Even 'universal' changes are possible, if the scripts are directed from adv-map common script they will work on all maps. Check TE they made estates skill like 500 gold + additional per level.

Once i downloaded a map, which, when i copied into the map folder, made all black dragons all the maps i have had 4000 HP... That was also a TE thing? Took a lot of time, I found it...
One of my friends can read in Russian, but i can't So no way to create anything alone.
This scripts have 'istallable' form? If someone, for example, made a frost mage script, or a frost mage hero and share the code, can i or 'borrow' it for (copy into ) my advmap-common.lua file?

You won't need russian!, better take a course in lua coding and study the file PvP.lua (from TE). Also read the scripting functions pdf in the folder 'Editor Documentation' that came with the game.

<lol> Yeah, I remember that when I first came to H5 I made the mistake of putting ALL player-made-maps in the map folder like H3. Fired up a game and my Hero was a green Dragon and many things had new names etc. I was like, wth?! Let's go a Hrunting!
At first it irritated me that H5 Maps were in essence...Mods but now I like the time it saves. If I want, I can just leave my "Lethos the Necromancer" in the Maps folder (I put Nebdars mod inside the map) and any Necro I play is OP'd.

I play the game LAN-mode with my father, so i'm trying to create balanced new hero specialities, no way to create an overpowered hero!

You should read the section about objectives in Editor theory.pdf in editor documentation folder, the seer hut properties are identical to those.

I want to ask some resources. So i choose kind "collect resources".
After then there come the parameters.
Parameter 6 as example is gold.
But how do i ask 2 or more different resources?
I tried to add some parameters, but after trying it, the seer hut only asks for one resource, insteat of 2 or more. What do i have to do?
Please give me an additional hint

I don't think that is possible with the regular settings, for more complex quests, you will have to use lua scripting. See link from markkur few posts back for scripting guide.
