Hmmm i dont have problem with scripts: The only thing is, that on network games, i have problems using them.

A big thank you for that hint of "theory" btw made it a lot easier

any idea  why i always 'got' the same result after modding?
I already complained about this in here. And it seemed resolved, but no.

I started from scratch all my mods. I had a clean installed version of the game, i made my custom heroes (4-6 new heroes per town) i created  a 'bank-mod' (i put larger and more diverse defenders for each bank type)
And nothing other used mods yet (only some texture mod, but only dds files inside) And yet the first thing after the modding i was experiencing always the same: in LAN multiplayer games, we can hire only 6 hero...

i did the tests after every new modification, and it looks like everithing alright, i can hire 8 hero (i can test only single player and hotseat mode) but after we start a new LAN game... Only six hero accessible...
We play the same game-client.
I was planning to create the  ToE version of Arstahd's  Gargoyles Mod, because we like it, and i create the new textures, but my motivation was reseted, because i'll delete it anyway.

I can't figure why this problem. And for years is the same, very very very annoying and it 'overpower' me

Did you edit files in
MapObjects_(AdvMapSharedGroup)Heroes

both any.xdb and the standart.xdb

is scenariohero set to false in the hero MapObjects files?

How are the maps set up? for multiplayer simply:

Yes i edit the files inside the MapObjects_(AdvMapSharedGroup)Heroes folder, because it is necessary to add new heroes.

I just only insert my heroes the list inside the any.xdb and the standart.xdb files , nothing any other rewrited thing. My heroes playable, no problem we can hire all in multiplayer games.

Before we start a map i clear the <AvailableHeroes/> list  inside the map.xdb file,  and i replace the tag for </AvailableHeroes>, because is also necessary  to play my heroes.

But before i don't have custom heroes i still had the same problem. I thought for a long time only six hero allowed in multiplayer games. But someone here wrote that not normal.

Before my hero-mod i used the unlock campaign heroes mod for years. Also with this problem. This mod also rewrite the any.xdb and the standart.xdb files... But i asking peoples here and they can hire 8 hero with this mod.

2007... for 7 (or 8) years and i can't figure why only 6...

But while i working my heroes in the test phase i can hire 8 hero in hotseat maps.

The hungarian version of the game a little bit unassuming work and it is contain a lot of translation/typing error, (in the descriptions of artifacts, skills etc.) i also rewrote this files inside the text folder, but this files only texts, do not interfere with the game mechanics. True?

Now i  only use the 'treants from the demo' mod, The 'helmetless clerics from the demo' mod, the 'colored gems' mod. But i open the mod archives and find nothing problematic.

I hope you understand what i am try to write down, no hungarian forum or any active fan page about heroes 5

Currently I cannot think of something else, but this was never reported with RPE, I wonder how much heroes show up with RPE?, maybe I'm overlooking something I did in the past.

A strange thing, no one has experienced such a thing, do not often understand what's my problem, i never find any forum or any complainment in the web, about this 6-hero-thing but if i create any custom mod or i use any mod from the web i always get this problem

I am so special...

RPE - mean your Role Playing Edition mod?
I never used, because my father, (i play heroes only with him, never alone and must be translated. Maybe the final version) but i was a plan to borrow some thing from it.
But new modifications bring new problems
It is Hard work to create more classes than the originals? Without too much file-modification. I also thinking about 2 classes/town thing. As in heroes 3.
And i had some idea about new specialities, but scripting too difficult for me

Yes, I was talking about RPE, it has 12 heroes per faction, so I wonder if 12 heroes would show up? if so you can compare files to fix problem.
I think I worked on it for a year, so not small amount of work, there were also other threads about it which are long dead.

I'm trying to play H5 and HoF scenarios and campaigns on ToE, but many cutscenes are still missing proper models (there are whole fields of naked terrain, with trees missing) and animations (countless examples, like interrupted spell-casting animation, or squires playing "dying" animation instead of "receiving damage" one in the first cutscene of original campaign.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? I keep mentioning it, but no one proposes any solution...

Missing or wrong files? Wrong filestructure, because of interrupted patching?
What about administrator rights? Got any warning while install the game?
Game version?
Have you any (old) maps in the map folder? Or Have you old mods?

Game version is a successfully installed 3.1.

Mod for scenarios and campaigns is downloaded from here (scenarios) and here (campaigns).

No mods involving map objects like trees or creature animations.

I do have mods for some hero models. I doubt it'd influence animations of squires however.

In these sites no mods, only the original campaigns maps. You copied this files into the maps/mods folder? Maybe because you have every campaigns maps twice  cause the problem?

Scenarios are in the Maps folder.

Campaigns are in the UserMODs folder.

But this maps are funds originally in the game folder after install. No need to add them like a mod. Now you duplicate them. Maybe this is the problem.
Maps actually can be 'behave' like mods, and the downloaded and the original maps maybe confront each other.
Try delete all the added scenarios and campaigns and start the story again, from the beginning.
Maybe the downloaded maps not on the same game version like the originals.

No, they aren't originally in the game. I mean specifically H5 and HoF missions, which were not present in ToE.

Once I remove them, I can't access these scenarios and campaigns at all. There are no duplicates.

Now I understood: they are originally in the game, but not in the Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East folder.

If you want to play the original Heroes 5 campaigns you must launch the game with the Ubisoft/Heroes of Might and Magic V/bin/H5_Game.exe.

If you want to play the HoF campaigns you must launch the game with the Ubisoft/Heroes of Might and Magic V/bina1/H5_Game.exe

There are separate exes for versions. And you can modding the games separately, and you can play it separately.

Because you copied the hoF campaigns/scenarios in the ToE maps/mod folders, the map files can't find the path for the Toe files, and therefore missing things.

...*sigh* Actually, I can't believe I have to explain again. I was talking about a problem with this mod, which puts H5 and HoF campaigns into Tribes of the East, not about actual H5 and HoF games.

Puts, as in, not just moving files, but actual modding work. Except, like I said. When I play, it tends to have a lot of glitches, while others didn't seem to make any complaints about these. That's why I kept asking for a way to fix them.

Ok I understand, Maybe this is a limitation set by developers to improve performance or reduce turn speed?

This 6-hero-limit only appear for me, others can hire 8.

What do you think, i must delete all the heroes after the <heropool> tag?

The base 8 hero/towns in the list. not the 6-hero limit.
