Maybe it's better for me to forget that 3D modelling... It would consume too much of my free time, and I've used only 3ds max (at school)... I'll concentrate on my Mod instead and try to finish it

I suggest to create archive with new creatures: 311-424, and Psatkha creatures! That is download not on one creature, and the whole archive with All Ncf creatures!

Are you sure, you're opening the data.pak?

Thanks i must have replaced the game mechanics folder with the one in the mod instead of copying the data in it (my punishment for being lazy)
On another note how can i replace a creatures dunno model.Say if i try to replace the demon.dds file with a file of a reskinned creature of a different type it has the demon model however has the colors of the reskin.Anyway to make the demon's model look like say a footman?

Go to GameMechanics/CreatureVisual/Creature/Inferno/ArchDevil_.xdb

Here the links to all Devil's icons, texts, model, animations and etc...

You have just to change it, buy replacing them with new or already ingame alternatives...

in the data folder, but Where I should put folder Complete???

Hey mates, can you help me out with this one:

Since Oblivion faction has, in theory, two different hero classes; Beastmasters and Uni's Chosen, how can I add a new class (name)?

First I tought that the name of the class is defined at MapObjects/*town*/*hero*.(AdvMapHeroShared).xdb simply like <HeroClassNameFileRef="..."> (which would have been the best case since the class doesn't need to change, only the name) or something but it seems the hero class name comes from the <Class>HERO_CLASS_*CLASS*</Class> line and makes this renaming more difficult.

So I'd need to make HERO_CLASS_DEMON_LORD2 being exactly like HERO_CLASS_DEMON_LORD but with different NameFileRef, if you understand what I mean. Is it even possible to somehow duplicate HERO_CLASSes or are they hard coded (which I fear they are)? And if there's another way to make this new class name, please tell me.

so no-one knows? this info would be vital for the process of Oblivion mod to continue. If there's no way to do this, I have to re-design some features as well as the storyline and hero bios. I have to make the decision very soon since I need to finish this mod next week.

you're speaking about Dual Hero Classes.

What will be advantages to make two true different hero classes for your faction?

In fact, the only advantage (and a good one) is allowing to have 2 differents way of evolution.

ex: Beastmasters has 75% of prob to learn attack and Uni's Chosen has just 45%....

or Beastmasters can learn triple-ballista and Uni's Chosen cannot do. etc etc

However, Adding a new class requires a new exe.
you must at least modify « H5_Game.exe »,  « types.xml », « HeroClass.xdb » and « Skills.xdb »

also if you want to hex-edited the .exe, you must know if you want to keep NCF compatibility or others.


How to have 2 classes for the faction without Hex-edition

for it, I suggest to you the Magnomagus's idea which been used into « Heroes of Axeoth » MOD

just to add « (BeastMaster) » or « (Uni's Chosen) » after the Heroes's name from textname files.

ex: change « Godric » by « Godric (Knight) or « Freyda » by « Freyda (Cleric) »

this idea makes up 2 classes just by appearance but that is acceptable. Moreover, you can at least manage heroes's base competence as Attack for Beastmasters or Magic one for Uni's Chosen. Even like that, I say « Heroes of Axeoth » is a great MOD.

Funny that I never even tought that option, to put the hero class after the name. It is the easiest solution to this issue, yes. I was planning to have Chosen as mages and more likely to gain magic based skills and Beastmaster might based, but I might add that in later updates.

it allows for 64 classes!:

Take in mind this exe also includes the levels mod and needs NCF_core. I want to use this exe for dual hero classes project, but it is not mine, anyone can use it for it's own purpose.

I dowloaded it and I will check it...

64 classes? haha! I remember of this idea

one class for each hero....does that finally mean that only one hero will be able to training?


EDIT:

I compared hex-edtion from this exe with the real exe.
some modifications remain misunderstood for me but that's is not a problem and other modifcations seem useles as well.
However NCF slots are limited to 500 yet. Surely you will have a better exe later.
