I'm late but i would like to participate 
Lv1: Goblin (H5) Mountain Guards was already used so I'll take quantity then. 10k gold / a 10gold  1000 Goblins
Lv2: Ranger (H2) Double Shot of course  12k gold / a 200 60 Rangers
Lv3: Iron Golem (H3) Incredible tough and pretty cheap. 13k gold / a 200gold 65 Iron Golems
Lv4: Vampire Lord (H3) Must be in here, whit pure respect. 14k gold / a 500gold 28 Vampire Lords
Lv5: Chieftain (H5) Damn they are ugly... and CHEAP! 20k / a 500gold 40 Chieftains
Lv6: Paladin (H1) There was only 6 tiers in H1&2 and again pretty cheap. 22,5k / a 600gold 37 Paladins (300)
Lv7: Firebird (H3) Blazing fast.. well quite fast anyway and almost free 25k / a 1500gold 16 Firebirds (1000)
Tiers 1-5 uses all possible money but didn't want lv6 and 7 to have so expensive creatures. Lv6 is left whit 300 gold and Lv7 is whit 1000. If you need to use all money:
Alternative Lv6: Efreet (H3) Fast but no shield unfortunate. 22,5k / 900 25 Efreets
Alternative Lv7: Arc Angel (H3) Blaah... 25k / a 5000 gold 5 Arc Angels
None of the creatures cost any other resources than gold and i didn't like to use H4 creatures as it has completely different tier set up (well 1&2 differs from 3&5 also but never mind that)
Comparing some creatures stats to previous versions was nice. Older games had lower at/def/dama but health at least whit Dragons where always huge, good that we have had some change in H5 to that tough.

Well currently I have three rpgs, 2 contests (soon to be 3) I am participating in, and another contest I am running. However, that one has stalled also. If everybody does wish for another round, I will give it a go.
