Not my favourite, but i like the way that earth elementals walk across the screen. Makes me laugh when im watching it.

I always laugh when I hear the sound that mummies make when the entire stack has been destroyed in Heroes II. That woosh! woosh! woosh! noise.

You will probably find it strange but I most like Wolf Raiders and the way they are running in the battle field.
It's very impressive.

Yes, you're right. I do find that very strange.
In my opinion, they look like fatass dogs with three year old sick kids (hence the greenish tinge) on their backs, desperately waving a plastic sword.

I like the Ogre/Ogre lord best. It goes slow and sturdy to its opponent, swings his bronze axe and makes a "Aurrgghha! noise. Got to love ém

I also love the Azure Dragon it looks very cool in azure blue but most in important is the fear factor it causes.
I love the way a big ghostly skull is portrayed over the creature with red eyes and mouth moving as it makes a weird ghostly noise which causes the creatures to miss a turn.
Rust dragons are very nice especially the rust effect it does, even though it looks like weakness spell with a different color.
I alos like the way the Magi and Archi magi die in heroes III and II. They way their bodies dissapear leaving just their clothes falling to the ground is a very nice touch. Reminds me of starwars when obi-wan kenobi died or giave up his life.

the hunchback brown cyclops, that looks like an overgrown troglodyte with an eye as big as a beholder. And then ... the big red energy beam (bigger than himself) that somehow comes out of his giant eye.

hm i hope Heroze V will be fully 3d animated...
Also i agree with most of you : Devil ant ArchDevil's animations is da best looking stuff. Just look at scythe swing at wictim, and imagine choped head which rotate in the air with a blood streams going out..

Yes, that's what I wanted to say! Those commanders from WoG 3.57 really look great, especially Soul Eaters and Ogre Leaders. Astral Spirit is cool, too.
From the standard HoMM3 creatures, I'd choose Dendros, Battle Dwarves (so funny ) and Efreeti.
From H2, Vampire is the best. Also the dying animations for Mummies and Phoenixes are cool.
H1 - I like Thieves and Cyclops.
From H4, my favourite are most of those who come from Haven (Squire, Crossbowman, Pikeman, Crusader, Champion, now Catapult is coming...)

The Power Liches and Crusaders of HOMM2 are cool. They really messed up the Crusaders in HOMM3. 2x the Damage to Necromancer units! Those were the days.

I'd say dragons in H2 look the best.
In H3 I also like archdevils.
As the best lookin town I'd say fortress,I like that
jungle and the fog,the hydra pond kinda messes it up,I think it looks ugly there,the same goes for carnivorus plant.Rampart also looks kinda nice.

My favorite animated creature is the upgraded version of the zombies in HOMM2 because of the flies which fly around their heads while they´re walking!
