HoMM 3 Question with AB installed
Hey there I just put HoMM 3 with AB expansion too. No patch updates were put on, this is on a laptop with no internet so I may need to burn to a CD and install. Anyway, my wife and I play hotseat and she will be 1st, me second, then the computer players. We only get to see the computer players on land that I uncover not hers. So sometimes she gets a nasty surprise that she didn't even see.
A computer player may be in her area and she doesn't know it because when it was the comp's turn we couldn't see it moving because it wasn't MY land. Does the patches address this? Do you know what I'm talking about? Thanks guys

Ya, she scouts an area over many turns, finally the comp gets the balls to venture out and in to her area. But since she is the 1st player and I'm the second, when I end my turn the computer players go.
We can see computer armies move ONLY IF it's in areas I UNCOVER. Since I was the last player to go all her area are black to me. So if the computer is moving in her lands we do not see them unless she has a keen eye on her turn. I just think it's unfair for me to see armies move and her not to be able to.

there's a button on the right part of the screen (probably has a picture of a flag on it) that opens a window with a list (each list item has a button in the left side) and the last item in this list is 'replay opponent's turn.'
so when it's her turn, she should press that button, instead of finding an excuse to look at your lands.
lol, this thread must have been straight to the topic of the forum (:

A button which would have been a useful tool even in earlier versions.

No I think he means that when he plays hotseat and he was the ast human player, then during the computers turn u see the comp activity only on the last players discovered land!
lets say u and ur wife play,u discover some land and ur wife discovers some other land, then during the comps turn,u only see the comp moving on the land that the player that last moved has discovered!

now i cannot make head or tail out of it anymore. in the good old times when me and my friend played homm3ab hotseat we did use this button. there was just no other way. i am dead serious, btw.
of course, we cannot totally exclude this possibility, but i really don't think i saw it in my dreams. maybe we played sod, but i think it was ab, and the button was there. i wouldn't have posted if i hadn't thought i had something helpful to say.

the reason is because the last human player turn is the only one when you can see the movement of the computer, if you are the first one you can't see it
