I saw your reply and updated.
Guess where the guard lounge was?
And, don't worry, they don't have radios.
Anyways, I'm out for the night! Take care! *waves*

Your Eevee knows:
Tackle
Tail Whip
Helping Hand
And I think Endure as an egg move
Your Sandshrew knows:
Scratch
Defense Curl
Your Zigzagoon knows:
Tackle
Growl
Tail Whip

I know exactly how you feel. And what's worse? My poor lil' Pichu's only offensive move...is Thundershock...oh yay! That'll be fun against Pokemon that are Rock and Ground.

Winter, um, did you think out the fact that geodudes will kick our hinny? Bad? One grass type vs the geodudes is not going to make that big a difference...just thought I might want to point this out

On the bright side, at level 7 Geodude only knows Tackle, Defense Curl and 'Mud Sport'--I don't think the last deals damage, so no super effective hits...am I right?

This is true. And a grass type can beat them all (unless they gang up on it), it will just take a bit of time. If we focus on weakening the others, and/or distracting them, it should be not hard for the grass type. Surviving the 2-3 rounds each geodude will be the rough part (for the grass type to take them down).
Pretty much my strategy is to weaken their attack and defense as much as possible while doing my 1 point of damage per round
Edit : Wonder what helping hand would do with some of the abilities the others have. Does it just affect attacks or can it pump up the others also?

I apologize to everyone for not logging in until now...but I had a field trip today (Ecology Lab).
I'm back now...so let me update. This may be the last update for today.
(And perhaps, until next week.... Darned tests...Spring Break is next week though, so that'll be glorious! )

Quick question: how do items work? It's not so much that I don't remember the rules for team battles so much as I never learned them in the first place.

@Kareeah: You forego one of your Pokémon's turns (you pick which one) and use an item instead. (Exactly what Misty did. )
I sense someone who hasn't played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen/Diamond/Pearl before.
If you have a GBA, go get Emerald, now! (I like it more than Pearl admittedly. ) It's lotsa fun!
@Misty: Sorry for not answering your question earlier about Helping Hand.
In the videogame, it only affects damaging moves. In my RPG, I might make exceptions to that rule...but don't worry about that for now, because none of you has a move that would qualify...yet.

LOL!
Well, you could check serebii.net to see every single Water Pokémon in existence up to now.
Of course, I don't think ALL of them are making it into the RPG, but we still have a long ways to go.
After all, you did remember what my ingame character jabbered on about recently right? (the dimension thingie ).
Guaranteed Water Pokémon:
Magikarp (because they're everywhere)
I can't spoil the fun just yet you know!
P.S: I LOVE Mixed Types.
My Water dream team is: (might make it into the RPG, you never know. )
Gyarados (W/Flying)
Lanturn (W/Electric)
Swampert (W/Ground)
Ludicolo (W/Grass)
Kingdra (W/Dragon)
------- (I always have that 6th spot for whoever fits my fancy )
Of course, even I see several problems with that lineup, relative to the region, but I won't elaborate.
Time to go do my one and only update of the day.

Just remember I prefer 'cute' over strength . Magicarp are not cute (nor their upgrades).
Pros of dual type.
Can limit damage from a 'weakness' depending on circumstances.
More versitility.
Generally higher stats
Cons of Dual types
Can be more then one weakness.
If both types are weak against one type, that type can cause a LOT more damage
Can run out of 'moves' space quickly.
For instance (and I don't know if it exsists) a grass/steel type vs a fire type would be BAD. A water/ground type would not fair as bad vs an electric type then a pure water would.
Hmm I think if there are any a water/ground type would be good. Or a Water/grass type.

Water/ground is actually immune to electricity and is super effective to it...
So "would not fair as bad" isn't exactly what I'm thinking...

What's Jirachi's type(s)?
(I think Steel/Psychic, but it could be Grass/Steel, can't remember)
Quote: Water/ground is actually immune to electricity and is super effective to it...
Correct!
While managing to only have one weakness; double weakness to Grass (which is quite the accomplishment, to be honest...even though you're not going to like getting Solarbeamed. )

*cough*Dark/Ghost*cough*
Sorry, just had to bring that up.
(Dark/Ghost Type Pokémon have NO weaknesses. Unfortunately, the two Pokémon that fit this category suck! )
(Anyways...I'm not going to be able to update until Friday *gasp*. Darned tests...I will be allocating happiness points for Eevee as if it already has the Bell equipped. See you soon guys! *waves*)

(I think Steel/Psychic, but it could be Grass/Steel, can't remember)
No, Jirachi's Steel/Psychic.
(On a side note, it's amazing how many legendaries are either Psychic or Dragon type. Out of the *counts* thirty-five legendary Pokemon up until Generation IV, I think twelve are Psychic types and six are Dragon types not counting Arceus for either.)
