Mina recalled Pidgey with thanks and fingered her Repel. It occurred to her that they’d been going about this the wrong way; once the Bandra Pokemon were gone there wouldn’t be anything to split the attention of the much more powerful wild Pokemon, and they were losing too many of their own to be able to deal with the wild ones effectively—scratch that, at all.
If I’d had Pidgey Whirlwinding from the start…but too late now, she reflected. Bitterly she added to herself, And blast it all. We are all going to die because none of these people can use status effects to save their lives. LITERALLY to save their lives!
Mina tried to break the cap off the Repel as she gave her orders. “Oodramer, that Geodude ((3)), Bubblebeam it!” Just hang on one more round, my dear. “Natu, Night Shade that Magnemite!” She struggled with the Repel a little more. “Grrr, Sandshrew help me break this!” The last came out a frustrated plea.

The Rock Slide goes high—several of the group’s Pokemon manage to duck out of the way (Sandshrew not even needing to use the Sandstorm to hide), but Natu is buried by the attack. Fortunately most of the Bandra Pokemon in the vicinity experience a similar burst of bad luck.

"*Ack* Sorry" Zacks says saddened, trying to hide the humiliation still under the effect of the shock from the massive attack.
"Didn't really had any experience with it before, should have known better though".
Zack just stands there, looking at the carnage, having a hard time grasping what to do.
He finally takes up his pokeballs, saying nothing he recalls psyduck and staryu.
In one hand now he holds Mr. Mime's pokeball, ready to recall the pokemon, should the other decide it's time for running, ready to follow them. In the other, he readies the pokeball with vigoroth, ready for calling it out and attacking Archeokat 4 with a yawn attack, only given the others decide to stay put and fight.

Mina tried a recall; the beam hit stone and nothing happened. About then she started to panic. Rushing over heedless of the battle going on around her she dug frantically at the loose stones until the tiny feathered body of her Psychic type was excavated. She froze; there was just the tiniest bit of movement—breathing. Mina exhaled.
“Return.”
((Rest of the last round here. ))
“Oodramer! Break this! Vortex!”
Mina threw the can of Repel at him. She didn’t like sacrificing a super-effective attack for something that might not even work. But it was plain she couldn’t count on Sandshrew to do this, and she’d already tried to manage it herself without success, so Mina didn’t see a better alternative.
“Sandshrew if you’re going to attack them, hit one of those,” she motioned to the Archeokat. “They’re pure Rock types; your Rock Smash isn’t working as well on the Bronzor!” The Archeokat were also faster and hitting a lot harder; Mina hoped her slowest team members would be able to hold on long enough to do what she asked of them.
