Zelgius picked up the great ball, rubbing his shins to get feeling back in them and relieve the pain from his bruises. "Wow. Ouch. Ok, so can you hear me in there? Your name is now Kalah. Got it?" And with that he put her back in his belt slot.
I've lost him by now... Damn! A wave of exhaustion hit Zelgius hard enough to make his vision blur. No, not here... Not now... Using his flashlight, Zelgius found a place in the canyon that was relatively clear of large rocks and collapsed, exhausted. "Marick... Guard..." Using his pack as a pillow, Zelgius went to sleep.

Brona reaches his Gastly again, it hadn't seen any threat yet and went back out to search the surroundings. He picked out his Pokedex and wrote a message back to Mina. "You may rejoin us, from what I could get out of Elren it seems Christian was supposed to leave I guess. I'll see you guys when you get back here.

((Consider this a brief interlude while I ready the next leg of the retreat.))
Mina received Brona’s response and texted back briefly: ~Got it, we’re on our way.~
----------------
Rockslide group:
The group sets off to rejoin the Squad, sans Christian and Zelgius.
They’ve gone about a mile past the Pokemon Center when the helicopters arrive there—three of them, out of the north. It’s impossible to tell what’s going on at this distance except in the most general sense, but after a while copious amounts of red-lit smoke start pouring skyward. Fortunately the Starlight Squad is out of sight, and the group is small enough and far enough away to escape notice.
----------------
Stacey:
((Roll = 83))
About an hour after leaving the Pokemon Center, you notice a massive pillar of smoke to the west. No other signs of trouble manifest for now.
----------------
Christian:
You find a hidey-hole and settle down to sleep, your Geodude standing guard. About an hour after your dramatic exit, your rest is disturbed by the arrival of the massive Bandra force, but either the rockslide holds them back or your hiding place is sufficiently out of the way to go unnoticed—or both—as you don’t receive any unexpected visitors during the night. The occasional breeze brings the scent of smoke, but otherwise your sleep is unbothered.
----------------
Zelgius:
You lie down in a relatively clear nook inside the canyon. About half an hour after your fight with your new Larvitar, you’re awakened sufficiently to notice the sounds of stone moving and lots of people back in the direction of the road. There’s no one within sight of you, however, so you’re able to roll over and get back to sleep.

Christian wakes up the next morning. He gets up, yawns and stretches before looking over at his geodude, who had almost fallen asleep "Good work Geodude." Christian smiled and got out his pokéball "You deserve some good rest! Return!"
Christian took a look at the area around him before getting out a pokédex to check where he was on the map and what type of pokémon would be in this area. He also got out his pokéball containing Scyther "Good morning Scyther. Keep an eye out for any people or pokémon that might be in the area.

Zelgius wakes to the sun shining down on his face. Ohhh, bother. He sits up and finds that Marick has his head in Zelgius' pack, and Zelgius hears some munching going on. "Hey you! Save the snacks for later! We might need them!" the little Aaron backed out of the pack and wagged its little tail sheepishly. "Sorry, Bambie eyes do not work on me. But good job keeping us safe last night. Have some rest. Return."
Zelgius brought out Jessia and Kalah. "Now, Kalah. You probably don't like me, and I'm not too happy with you either, but we are going to have to learn how to deal with one another, alright?" The little Larvitar glared at him. "And I'm not above giving little bribes here and there... How about a little jog with me? We need to find Christian or somebody, so I would like to have a partner running beside me. What do you say?"

Mina watched the smoke curl over the little patch of road where the Pokemon Center was. Flames lit the towering construct from below, making it visible in the darkness even from this distance.
Zelgius had made no attempt to rejoin them. Probably reporting back to his Bandra cronies. It made her nervous that a potential Bandra spy knew where they were going and how they were getting there, but she couldn’t go after him when there were people depending on her to get them away if they ran across trouble. Ordinarily she wouldn’t have worried, but Misty had proved too unreliable to be depended on and Zack needed a Teleporter around for his Mr. Mime to copy. All she could do was try and get everyone back to the rest of the Squad as quickly as possible and maybe warn Elren. The Johto trainer consoled herself that moving a force the size they were probably wouldn’t go unnoticed for long in any case.
Mina’s thoughts were interrupted by her Pokedex.
Stacey sent you a message!
You all alright? Is the smoke over that direction a good thing?
Mina quickly texted back.
~We’re fine. Bandra just hit the Center.~
Aloud, she said, “Let’s get going.”
----------------
Christian:
The Pokedex informs you that the surroundings are home to the usual types found in mountains: mostly Rock, Ground, and Fighting-type Pokemon with a little more variety around the Shrine of Light. The ‘dex also tells you some of the most common species in the area are Mankey, Baltoy and Arkhiti, as well as the Murkrow that seem to be everywhere in Helnith.
----------------
Zelgius:
Your new Larvitar eyes you with some wariness, scratches herself under the chin as though thinking about it, and at last nods.
----------------
Stacey:
((Roll = 62))
The grasslands around you remain silent and still as you keep watch.
((Roll = 53))
Still no sign of Bandra or any other danger.
((Roll = 80))
You hear some commotion back in the main concentration of the Squad, though there is no sense of urgency to the noise.
----------------
Main Group:
The rockslide group ((sans Christian and Zelgius)) manages to dodge Bandra and rejoins the Starlight Squad forces around 11:30PM.

"Wait where did Zelgius go?"
Sarah wondered a bit confused, she hadn't really aware during the operation. It hadn't turn out to be as exciting as she first thought it would be and her Pokemons wasn't really needed.
Sarah didn't understand where Zelgius was going, not that she cared much, but she was meaning to return his jacket...

Zelgius was lost.
Again.
But this time he did happen to have a map, and a new pokemon traveling in his party. He felt that his experience had gone rather well. But he couldn't help but feel that he was missing something... Ah well. He shrugged off the feeling and kept jogging down some of the less-stable slopes, carefully avoiding the parts that would give way underfoot. He stood at the bottom of the bluff and looked around for any sign of anyone who had passed by this way recently.
((If he finds any, he follows that, otherwise Zelgius is going to track down the Starlight Squad.))

Mina managed a wane smile, which vanished quickly. “Zelgius took off after Christian and never came back. Other than that we got out of the area just in time.” She scratched Natu absently; the Pokemon leaned into the caress with obvious pleasure. “How were things on your end?”
----------------
Zelgius:
Being dry and very rocky, it’s difficult to find tracks; nevertheless, faint traces indicate someone has passed this way, going south—and the shallow imprint of a boot confirms the someone is human. You follow the trail south, until the path you’re on splits into three—and it is then it becomes clear that more than one person has come this way, as each fork of the path bears some sign of passage:
Leftmost: footprints.
Center: a few purple threads, caught on a stubborn mountain shrub.
Rightmost: a scuff mark on a stone.

Zelgius knocked the middle path off immediately, Christian might be on the run, and might want to go this way again, but he was on the run. Why advertise his presence? Now if it was a different person that needed help, Zelgius would be perfectly willing to help them. But they'd have to make some noise.
He turned to Kalah and asked her, "So what do you think? Right or left?"
