With that he called back the fighting-type and looked around. Hopefully the next pokemon he met would be of more interest.

After another fifteen minutes or so of searching, you take a step and put your foot right into a hole of some kind. After a moment a small head pokes out of the ground nearby:

Brona ordered both of his pokemon to attack this new one, when his Nidoran bit him just above the ancle, obviously wanting food again. He closed his eyes only a moment against his stupidity at finding a new pokemon when he had obviously forgotten he didn't even own Nidoran yet. He bent down beside it, picking out his pokeball. "Want to come with me easier? This way you can also get food easier and without such long time in between?" he asked it, offering it the pokeball.
((If yes, then simply let it enter the pokeball and let the two pokemon attack, if no then let the two pokemon attack .. and I'll write a response in my next post. Mankey is to use karate chop and Geodude is to use Rock Throw))

The Diglett sees where this is going immediately and bolts.
Nidoran meanwhile sniffs at the Pokeball before pressing the button with his nose. He is instantly engulfed, and the ball dings without a single shake.

Brona stood up with a crooked smile, as it went easier than he had expected. The Nidoran would be the backbone of his new team, he thought, as he would at least obey. Or at least Brona hoped it would. He headed back to town, eager to find out what moves Nidoran knew and train it so that it would evolve and get stronger!

It ain't exactly late, but Brona is tired from travelling and stops by the pokecenter to heal his pokecenter and get a good night sleep.

Brona rolls out of his bed, still half asleep ((I might have pushed my char a tiny bit)) but ready for a day of training with Nidoran. He went outside, saying hello to nurse Joy on the way, and let out Mankey and Nidoran. "Alright now, I want you to train mainly for Nidoran, and show me the moves you know!" he said.

Passing out of the Pokemon Center you overhear some early-risers chatting about a strange howling last night, but otherwise your exodus from the Pokemon Center is unremarkable, so you go out to train Nidoran.
It's about 9:30 AM when the little quadruped starts to glow.

Brona got excited when the nidoran started glowing, as it didn't exactly take long. He look approached the light as it changed in size, smiling down at Nidoran as it evolved.

You return to the Pokemon Center to find it filled with the smell of pancakes. A couple of trainers are inside, eating; one notices your new Nidorino and remarks:
"Looking to challenge the Gym today?"
Asking Nurse Joy about food elicits a giggle and a finger pointing to the kitchen. There you find some industrious soul has gone on a cooking spree, as there's a plate stacked high with pancakes on the counter and more on the way by the looks of the busy figure by the Center's stove. Nidorino sniffs hopefully: at nearly three feet tall and standing on his hind legs, the bottle of syrup is almost in reach...

"Alright Nidorino, go crazy! Eat whatever you want, you deserve it." Brona said with a smile, then released his other two pokemon. "That concerns the two of you too, eat up!"
He looks over at the person mentioning challenging the gym. "What type of pokemon are the gym specializing in? I don't think I am strong enough yet though."

Your Pokemon proceed to tear the kitchen apart, much to the annoyance of the chef. Nidorino manages to hop onto the countertop (knocking the plate of pancakes to the floor in the process, where Geodude attacks them with a vengeance) and retrieve his bottle of syrup, which he proceeds to chew on until a hole opens and syrup begins oozing out. Mankey meanwhile climbs its way up to the cupboards, and starts opening their doors and throwing their contents out until it finds something it likes. You can hear the rising outraged screams of the chef as you chat in the lobby.
"What type of pokemon are the gym specializing in? I don't think I am strong enough yet though."
"Oh? You don't know? Most of the people dragging Poison types around are here for the Gym; it's a Grass Gym."
