Needs Help!
I need help on Heroes 3 Shadow Of Death. The campaign videos won't show. That is, when I go to the campaign section (any one of them, SOD, AB, or ROE), I click on a campaign, start sceneario 1, then there should be a short movie clip showing. The movie clip should have picture at the top and words slowing scrolling upward at the bottom. But what I got all the time is only words scrolling upward but no pictures! And also, I tried both mode of turning Video Sub ON and OFF, but it's just doesn't work.
Anybody can help me on this Shadow Of Death videos problem?
Oh, I forgot another thing. I remember there's a short movie intro for Restoration of Erathia, is there one for Shadow Of Death too? If there is one, then I probably missed it too, because the movie intro doesn't work either.

I did download WoG and installed it afterwards. But this problem had occurred ever since I installed Shadow of Death, which is a couple years ago. No videos have been showing at all. I went to check all the files, including graphic and lod. files, they've all been there, nothing's missing. But the video just won't show.

HELLO! You do have the disc inserted when running the game, don't you?

No. You don't need the disc when you're running the game. Well, at least I never put the disc...

Well you need the disc to see the movies! That's where they're stored, if you don't have it in how can the game produce cinematics from thin air?

Even if you have WoG installed, you still need to run the disc to see the movies. But I think there are people on the WoG team that are trying to make it so you can view the movies without the disc. I know people were trying to do this process years ago. Bottom line is, you need to use the disc for SoD and/or WoG.

That is actually easily possible - just copy and paste the video files on the disc into the Heroes III data directory. Hey presto, no need for the disc to see the videos. I've done it before.

You mean under the main folder then go click on Data Folder, or under the main folder, than Heroes3, then Data? Which one should I put it in?

...just insert the disc and play. Forget I said anything about video data files.

There's no reason why that should be, as long as you're using the Heroes III Complete disc. Otherwise I suppose you might be referring to the WoG videos... those will not always just show up, even with the disc in.
Be more specific please, which videos are you having trouble with?

Sandro it must be something about your copy of the game.
If you buy the discs, install and play, then the game will ask you for the CD to be inserted and won't let you play without it. You have to back up your saved games (look for them in the main Heroes installation folder), and uninstall your game (or even delete it if you want) and install it again, this time from a better source. I am sure you can find another copy of the game, it is pretty common.

Mine's not Heroes III Complete, it's just Shadow of Death. It has all the campaigns ROE, SOD and AB. Well u're right actually, probably it's my verison problem. I'll check if it's a cracked one or a illegal one.

If u have Shadow of Death, you shouldn't have AB campaigns (if yours is an original version that is!).

Geez, you're supposed to at least have a legitimate copy before you come along asking troubleshooting questions and confusing us all.

It's legal but with 3 campaigns at once. ROE, AB and SOD at once?!
