well yes, but that affects all.. and who would bother to make init arties for, say, gargoyles?

Just noticed I put the unupgraded golem stack in the academy lineup. Will be corrected in the next version

And in case you haven't noticed.. I banned staff of netherworlds, ring of speed and ring of celerity on the map

That was kind of intended so both players can switch their active hero and refuel him at the eldritch well A lame way to introduce some fairness. But I guess it won't hurt to spread them a bit anyway.

Well gargoyles can be used as buffed up tanks or fast blockers with init/speed.

perhaps. But still, having all of the units heavily artificed on week 5 is a bit.. far-fetched.

a couple crucial ones.. perhaps.. but all of them?

Unfortunately I don't know how they do it on duel mode. And even there the mini arties appear randomly..

Well, if there is no other idea, that will have to do.

Unfortunately, there is no +5 luck artifact, etc.

A ring of speed may do the trick, though. Let's assume the academy player was outrageously rich.

But that would mean haven player having +40 trained palas instead of +10


finally, we can just put the academy town on the middle island and allow the players to assemble the mini arties themselves..

Ok guys, 1.01 is done How about a blizzard-like changelog?

1.01 CHANGES

GENERAL

- Spread the heroes to avoid unwanted battles
- Rotated blue heroes so the two sets stand actually in front of each other
- Rotated some objects and towns to make them more accessible
- Moved sylvan town into the central island to make it possible for sylvan hero to visit the town (needed to make avenger work)
- Added Academy town to the central island to make artificer possible to use
- Added two Hill Forts to the central island so you can re-upgrade your troops.
- Blue Ossir and Red Vittorio replaced by celebrities

RACIALS

- Sylvan racial implemented. You have to take your Ranger through the two-way portal behind you to face the creeps, then return to the town to pick the ones you'd like to use.
- Academy racial implemented. Just go with your wizard to the town and artifice the creatures. Easy mode suggested so you can actually make some mini-arties without running out of resources early.

HEROES

- Nur no longer has Wizard's Reward
- Nur now has Expert Artificer instead of Advanced Artificer

BALANCE

- Iron Golems replaced by Steel Golems for Nur.

Seems nice except one thing: When I try to play the map single I get a blanc page while when I tried online with phoenixreborn it worked normally and I joined.

Things I noticed. Me an evil moderator? You gave me an imba army, we played sylvan vs inferno and the game was over in the first turn without even avenger. Aura of swiftness is an overkill or maybe you should decrease the attack.

Phoenix had to go so I did not get a chance to check Alci

that was just a gag We all know Elvin is goody two-shoes

I'm aware of that 'blank page' problem. In my game, I have two instances of the same map available: one is blank, other works normally. I have only one mapfile in the directory so I have no clue why I have two maps in the game, and why one of them seems broken.

I kinda agree that the current Sylvan army owns all. Even without avenger : O I've uploaded a funny game of my friends playing each other (some misclicks there like the ranger using melee attack instead of casting a spell - or elder druids using lightning bolt continuously rather then stone spikes against those clustered unit - but the game was quite fun overall ;-)) If the shadow mistress kept being invisible for a turn longer..

here it is

As for balance, I agree that aura of swiftness must go. Besides that, I think more magic heroes would benefit from swift mind, because they keep getting their turns after half of their army is already dead. And I guess divine vengeance has to be banned for the sake of balance. You don't have to care about those 24 haven champions.. because divine vengeance kills them all in one blow after 2 turns. Uhh. This spell is such a joke.

Nice replay But even afterwards he could resurrect both unicorns and arcane archers - anyway that's why chain lightning and armageddon spells exist Also imagine is the dragons hit more in the first turn..

A lot of mistakes by both sides, yes. But what puzzles me is that Sylvan managed to win even on an extremely pro-dungeon battlefield Those four stacks in the upper right corner were rather unreachable and still he lost

Although he could end it with armageddon instead of the fireball, yeah.

I've tested the first version so far and I think too, that Sylvan is very overpowered. I tried first against the barbarian hero and he died in 1.5 turn. ^^

I think you should try to balance more each hero's troop. Most of the army's don't have a key unit. But it's only my idea...

Now that there is a memory mentor there can be puted chest with gold\experience enough to gain a lvl 25(heroes can start as lvl 1 )and with some gold (or not for more realistic game you not always can choose what you realy want)so you can reshape the abilities as someone see fit

obviously the lack of feedback made me abandon any further work on my project.

I guess it's playable right now and since nobody complains, it has to remain as it is.
