5th place?
Oh well...I'll have to compensate this week then!
Week 3 Entry:
Sathalath - Level 7
Story Overview: The Sathalath are a mysterious group of Naga that live in the deepest waters of Ashan. Sathalath means "serpent outcast" in the language of the Naga. In ages past, the Naga lived in harmony with nature, even becoming allies with the Sylvan faction at one point. However, the Naga were also known for being a power-mongering and arrogant people, two defects that grew with the passage of time, so they eventually aided the Dark Elves in what would later be known as the Days of Fire. It was never known why they turned on their former allies as they did. As the history books tell it, the Dark Elves were exiled into the underground and hunted down. However, the Naga were never heard from again...until now.
They have returned to claim the surface lands they believe that is theirs by birthright. Their viewpoint on this subject could be considered insane and delusional. No one has been able to say that into the face of a Sathalath and walk away alive...
Description: The strongest warriors of the Sathalath Clan wear the name of the clan as their title. The Sathalath are deadly Naga that wield a giant lance coated with a strange substance. The substance prevents wounds from healing and only adds to the dangerous mystique that surrounds these creatures. They have a lizard-like head, along with a scaled upper body and arms, and the trademark lower merman-like tail that all Naga share.
Stats and Abilities:
HP: 125
Attack: 25
Defense: 23
Speed: 5
Initiative: 11
Damage: 28-40
Shots: N/A
Growth: 2
Abilities: Large Creature, Coated Weapon, Immunity to Water
Coated Weapon - Attacks by this creature coat the victim with a strange substance. Said substance prevents the victim from healing, by any means. The coat lasts for two turns.
The victim becomes immune to Regeneration, and loses the active Regeneration effect (whether it had it by an ability or the spell of the same name). Also, any attempts to Cleanse it fail.
Level 7 Upgrade - Sathalath Kalei
Description: The Sathalath Kalei are feared even by their companions for one reason: They can control water. In fact, Kalei means "child of water" in the language of the Naga. No one is safe on the battlefield when this creature decides to bring down a powerful tidal wave on its foes. They wield no weapons, using their energy and their dominion of water as their only means of attack. Summoners fear this creature even more, seeing as how Water Elementals are not safe from the Water Control either. They mark their faces with symbols that in their language denote water and magic. Otherwise, they look identical to their unupgraded kin.
Stats and Abilities:
HP: 140
Attack: 25
Defense: 30
Speed: 4
Initiative: 12
Damage: 30-40
Shots: 8
Growth: 2
Abilities: Large Creature, Immunity to Water, Water Absorption, Water Control, Tidal Wave, Shooter
Water Absorption- If this creature is targeted by a water-based attack, 25% of the damage becomes healing (and due to this creature's Immunity to Water, the other 75% is then ignored).
Water Control - Once per battle this creature can take control of a stack of enemy Water Elementals. The Water Elementals switch owners until the end of battle, or the controlling stack is completely destroyed. Each Sathalath Kalei can control 3 Water Elementals (you cannot target a Water Elemental stack with more units than your Sathalath Kalei can control).
Tidal Wave - Activated ability. Once per battle this creature can call down a merciless deluge to smother the battlefield in water. All units take Water Damage equal to 25*(units in stack of Sathalath Kalei). The sheer force of the attack also knocks back all units that suffered damage 1%*[units in stack of Sathalath Kalei] back on the ATB Bar. The percentage is capped at 15%.
Level 7 Alternate Upgrade - Sathalath Tetkatul
Description: The Tetkatul are the champions of the Sathalath Clan. They have four arms, which is a rare sight in any other race, but is much more common for the Nagas. The Naga people believe that being born with an extra pair of arms means that you have been chosen by the higher powers as favored warriors. These "chosen of water", as their title of Tetkatul denotes them, attack with a ferocity unseen in any other Naga, which leads many inhabitants of Ashan to believe that perhaps this dated superstition is true. Their weapon of choice is the katar (also coated with the mysterious heal preventing substance), of which they have four, one for each hand of each arm. In addition, they wear a helmet and battle armor.
Stats and Abilities:
HP: 140
Attack: 30
Defense: 25
Speed: 6
Initiative: 12
Damage: 32-40
Growth: 2
Abilities: Large Creature, Immunity to Water, Armored, Coated Weapon, Combination Attack, Assault
Combination Attack - This creature aids neighboring allied units by joining in the attack. Also, when a neighboring allied unit is attacked, this creature joins in the retaliation. This creature's damage during a Combination Attack is quartered.
(So, just in case this didn't make much sense, this is identical to Dark Raider's Lizard Bite, except it also activates on a retaliation.)

Naga, level 6, neutral
Naga
The Nagas are childs of Elrath along with the angels. Elrath showed no preference, both groups only had different uses, Nagas were more on the warrior side than angels were. But when the knights of the griffin empire showed their preference for Elrath
and the angels and Nagas appeared to them to protect them, Nagas were rejected, because their snake body made them look like evil creatures. Fortunately, Elrath knew how important could be the Nagas in the fight against the darkness, so he showed much love for them.
50% magic protection (this unit only suffers half the damage from magic attack)
divine retaliation (as a divine creature, the naga is protected by her god. each time a physical attack harms them, Elrath deals minor damage to the attackers, proportionnal to the number of naga and to the strength of the attack)
Sunaga
To show how much he cares about them, and to make them prepared against evil creatures, Elrath gives some of his powers to the eldest nagas.
50% magic protection
divine retaliation
eternal light : light magic spell casted on this creature are twice as hard to dispel
child of the light : light magic spell casted on another creature are also casted on this creature, at the highest level.
spell book :
sun strike (deal damage proportionnal to the number of light spells on the sunaga on a 3x3 area and has a chance of blinding ennemies also proportionnal to the number of light spells on the sunaga)
sun light (cast all the light spells affecting the naga on every allied stacks in a 3x3 area, grant them the eternal light ability and +1 morale during a small number of turns proportionnal to the number of nagas)
sun guidance (during a number of turns proportionnal to the number of nagas, the perks "soil burn", "fog veil", "wind storm" and "mana burst" won't work on your creatures)
sun benediction (adventure spell, targets a small area of the adventure map. if a battle takes place this round in this area, both armies (even wandering army) will have +1 to their luck and morale)
Moonaga
When the naga were rejected by humans, Elrath managed to trick Malassa in thinking that some nagas abandonned him and turned to the dark side. Those Nagas can now call the dark powers, because Malassa ignores they are actually working for Elrath.
50% magic protection
divine retaliation
child of the night : curses casted on this creature has an inverted effect (vulnerability acts as endurance, plague as regeneration... puppet master, blind and frenzy have no effects)
dark absorption : The hero can cast curses on its own nagas, and mass curses also affect them. if an enemy hero or creature cast a curse, there is a chance it will be cast on the sunaga instead of the target. if it is a mass spell, the chance is calculated for each stack targetted, but is lower (the total chance is the same as if one stack was targetted)
spell book :
moon strike (cast all the dark spell affecting the naga on every enemy stacks in a 3x3 area, decrease the morale by 1 and makes them twice as hard to dispel during a small number of turns proportionnal to the number of nagas)
moon power (cast the arcane armor spell on every allied creature in a 3x3 area. the health of the armor and the percentage of damage reduction are proportionnal to the number of dark spells on the moonaga)
moon curse (for a number of turns proportionnal to the number of nagas, the enemies will suffer the effects of the perks "soil burn" and "shrug darkness" (even the creatures))
moon shadow (adventure spell, targets a small area of the adventure map. if a battle takes place this round in this area, both armies (even wandering army) will have -1 to their luck and morale)
(btw, note that my nagas only have 2 arms, not 6)

Depending on what Sith thinks. We could have a week pause to give people time to really wow us, or let everybody also start the next creature. Up to Sith.

Hmm...just to give Daystar a little more of a challenge, I say let everyone else start on the next creature and let him work on both at the same time. Nah, I'm not that ruthless. Week's pause is fine.
