This should go to the VW. Immigration is a legitimate topic, but the tone of this is terrible. And that guy's speech serves no purpose whatsoever other than stirring up emotions.
When someone's agenda is to get an emotional response instead of presenting rational dialog, it tells me the presenter has lost his objectivity and has become a slave to the fight and forgetten what he is fighting for.
This is total garbage. There are some legitimate ideas here, but the presentation is pure garbage.

This guy 100 years ago would have been wearing the white conic mask at night rallys.
Promoting irrational fear and racism through his emotive language and scapegoating not far removed from Nazi Germany or Pol Pot's regime. His use of words like "destroy America" masks his even more disturbing talks of racial suppression and censorship, to make the people blind until all their liberties are gone and it's too late.
If anything is going to be America's downfall... it's not because of Hispanic immigrants

Believing this type of propaganda is just as dangerous as the other type. Some political candidates might want people to believe it's one side vs another side, or that one side or the other is racist, but that's not the case. There are SEVERAL sides to this issue and there is not even unity within either one of the major political parties.
Both major parties want immigration reform. The difference is just what type of reform and how to achieve it. And even more so, how to score the most political points through their rhetoric.
It's a bunch of name calling and implications that just aren't true. The thing is about implications, if you say it enough times people start to believe it. This is the case with the implication that Republicans are a bunch of racists. It just isn't true, but there's a large segment of the population who actually believe it.
What's weird is that I lived in California for 12 years and I've seen this stuff first hand. And the thing is that IMO most Mexicans don't care. Both side like to make people THINK the Mexicans care, and they find some vocal radical group who acts like they care, but in reality, most Mexican don't give a **** about it.

This is complete rational dialog and it has been proven over and over that history repeats itself. He was going for shock value for a reason, to show that this is very serious for our economy. Agree with it or not the statements are factual in every sense that they are applied here.

You have a point there, TA. The obesity epidemic is a big problem too.
But the problem isn't immigration per se. It isn't even illegal immigration. The problem lies not with the unskilled immigrants themselves (whether legal or illegal), but with their children. Consider this: while their parents are working, the kids are either at home, in a poor and dangerous neighborhood, or going to school in a poor area. Schools in poor areas are well-known for having a bigger drug and gang problem. So these kids are often sucked into it, and that's where the problem lies.
It's not because "DEY TOOK OUR JERBS!!!"
It's not because they're "destroying our culture".
It is because their children are acting as a separate group on the basis of race.
It is because their children are increasing the crime rate.
And it is because they did break immigration laws.

The thread actually belongs to the community once it's posted here, and as such community members are allowed to respond to it regardless of if they agree with the thread starter or not.

Re-reading that first post made me think about the movie - "American History X"
It really demonstrates how dangerous it is to wrap a small bit of truth around a whole lot of resentment and anger. Unfortunately people will tend to look at it and say "hmm if that part is true, then certainly the rest must be as well".

It has already happened in California & little by little mexicans are over populating cities everywhere.
10 yrs ago some streets had hardly any Mexicans.
Now many streets have nothing but Mexicans.
They see one white person walking down that street & most likely they wont live to see another daylight.
Police dont do nothing.
I have seen many grafiti by Mexicans hating white people.
Bush also help let this happen as I explained a long time ago in other threads.
I had guns pulled on My brother friends & i because one of us wore red.
My brother & friends almost died when i was visiting my father because they tried to rob them.
Many incidents about hate crime around California.
Not just where I am from.
It is happening in many major cities.
Northern & Southern California.
Mostly Immigrants.
Many great Mexicans that live in mexico.
I am speaking in facts.
Mexicans have over populated California in a wide margin since the year 2000.
Stealing jobs. Killing & murdering people just because.
It's happeneing.
I care about my friends & family.
I can understand people from other countries not caring or not really knowing the seriousness of the matter.
I can say it's happening & it's only getting worst.
Like dealing with North Korea when you lived in South Korea back in the days
Except of course a whole dif perspective

Thats actually good then.
Alot in many major cities.
A few I think are lucky including San Francisco.
Some over populated like San Diego,Los Angelas etc.
Oakland, never go there  .
Many wrong place at the wrong time moments!!!
