Hello,

First of All i would like to make a statement to Veco: You Were Right... Vamp princes in 3.1 can put to sleep everything!!!! thats so totally imba

Secondly I'd like to keep this topic Undead (hahah joke) And i'd wanted to ask you about the Greatest Imba Nerf of all Time, Dark Enegy
what do you use it for?? Personally I mostly aim for Liches because i like to have some range support, and when they will be blocked than, they can retaliate Vamps sound like a good idea too i think, dragons are to costly for me so i skip them

mostly Wraiths and Skellie Warriors/Ghosts with the rest of DE. Vamps aren't damage dealers nor tanks, they just need to Torpor everything around so no need to invest in them. Liches get blocked 90% of the time on round 1 so in low numbers casting Suffering/Weakness pays off the most.
If I'm close to castle/Hill Fort - unupgraded creeps ofc

How the Hell Can you choose? Dosen't it state in the game?
If I attack unubgraded Grim Riders, i will get Vampires, if i attack Ubgraded Vamp Lords etc.
Besides dont you think that by killing Nightmers (whitch are Basiclly Horses) you get Ghosts, and For killing unihorns you dont get any creps
And one more important question, Do you Depend on Necromnacy thougout the whole game? I mean like Its Week 4 day 6 and you have 29 DE out of 470 and you can attack a horde of Berserkers, to get an Artifact, but you wait a little longer for the extra creeps or not?

I choose what to raise by altering my attack order and if I don't need something(mine/artifact) ASAP or if it will delay me by having to backtrack then I attack it anyway.
Here you have a necromancy chart. You can't raise anything from Angels, unicorns or any non-living things.

I mean like Its Week 4 day 6 and you have 29 DE out of 470 and you can attack a horde of Berserkers,
If it's Day 6 I attack, if it's Day 7 I wait (but not for Berserkers, only if I can get Wraiths out of it)

You don't raise undead from every units you find, better to save your de for what you really need. I personally start with skelies week 1 and then according to faction I get wights and liches or vampires. Liches are a bit expensive but wights certainly pay off.

I Know this Page, thats why i Said you Cant Rise anything from Unihorns (and Angels)
But i didn't know that you get such a DE boost after your Hero will hit lvl 10+ i mean i did see much greater numbers but i never level up secondary heroes unless there is a tree Magic stone etc....
And what about Zombies? Lots of mines/Res/arifact are guarded by footmen or Horned Demons, you just don't rise them ? Personally i think that for a start its a very good Creeping booster, 21hp Tank that You dont Care about

When it comes to raising, I prefer Ghosts, Liches and Wights. Wights, like Elvin said, pay off the most, but you won't be attacking Wight-Spawing stacks early-early-game . Logically, you should NEVER raise Zombies, unless you have lost your army or something... (and if you have, you are either a bad creeper or over-confident )

Zombies are useless, I only raise 10 or so and only if I have lost those I had on me.

Lol I once got my ass kicked by Lots of Squires. (I got exactly 49 before me! Karma's such a B****!). I won, but all my skellies were dead, and the only thing I could raise were -guess what- ZOMBIES!!

Argh, the Frustration of the Situation. Either I had no army or one constisting out of 50 Zombies.

The only situation where I actually raised them. Eternal Servitude makes up for the fallen zombies anyway. (and if it doesn't, you won't be needing to compensate the Zombies anyway)

Awesome guide.

Although I think that as soon as you have vampires, wights and skeletons aren't so useful for creeping anymore. I like doing solo raids with vampires when fighting neutrals. 20 vampires can take like 200 brutes with no losses. Also great vs archers, since they'll easily get back what they lost.

Skeletons are only for the first week or so. Back in the day I used to build and upgrade vamps day 8 that made creeping easy but unfortunately requires too much ore better spent elsewhere. Big skelie archer stack, one warrior(for ranged) and zombies are all you need at first, then wights with your spellcasting and some fodder can take care of the rest.

You know what i Always make it like this Archers+1 warrior 3stacks of Zombies in the front and ghost in the second line and they all attack ghost and there we have a mine field
But it is rly hard to creep for necro at the early stage (at least for me) I have to wait 3 days (Tavern Skli house and Ugd) to go for something stronger than ore/wood mines
Do You use Dark Magic for Creeping? At the later stage or is it a waste of mana? Because in my opinion a good mass slow or weaknes can do pretty well

Actually I had a recent game on Mastermind, where I had only dark (mass slow) and I replaced summoning with attack. (Maybe arena infection?)

It worked quite good, I defeated orcs quite easily in the final and creeping was hard in first few, but turned to be ridicolously easy after I got 25 torpor-vampires. Man, those formula is crazy, I had a fight only with vamps against 12 arch-devils, each and every attack was torpor. Orson was just waiting all the way.

Vampire princes are imba Hardly a surprise to hear that worked, after all you have enough spellpower for raise dead without mastery and with a mass slow/haste your vamps have all the time in the world to torpor neutrals and feed off them

Well At Least one unit should be imba Considering Zombies and Dragons are Very weak (almost a level lower) And The Hero isn't the strongest one.

Do you often use the Curse of the Netherworld (or whatever its called in English The 5th lvl Mass dmg spell? For all I've noticed It can be quite powerful esp. with the Master of Pain perk. Is it worth spending so many mana and a turn to kill some creatures (and an Awesome effect?

Curse of the netherworldis worse than death riple in HoMM3, at least in my opinion.

I had GREAT use of it in a campaign with arantir. Campaigns are good because there come situation where you have a high level hero and you're fighting battles of small proportions.

There came quite alot of heroes who each had one or two weeks worth of growth. Like 50 brutes, 25 crossbowmen, 20 footmen, 10 griffins, 6 priests and 2 cavaliers 8estimates). A single curse of the netherworld killed them all. I can give you a replay if you want.

So it is very good with a high level hero fighting small-scale battles, but that doesn't realy happen in skirmishes. When you get it it will do too little damage due to low spellpower and too big armies.

Necromancers have high spellpower and can get +4 spellpwoer on cotn.

And because cotn even affects machines, I think it's a great spell for necropolis. Inferno has low spellpower, I concur and all other factions would damage themselves. It's quite handy and few people expect it.

I beg to differ, if you have 20+ spellpower and master of pain even big armies like 25 paladins, 8 angels etc etc can be brought to their knees after some casts - even better if he has split them to counter curses. Of course you must have good defense(and of course def skill) to endure the beating but that should not be an issue.
