Put aside petty differences.
Why can't we put aside petty differences? Who cares what skin color, sexual orientation, or belief system you have? If we could look beyond the small things that make us 'different' we would realize that everybody is different, and that is a good thing. If we were all the same, it'd be a very dull world.
Think about the enormous possibilities if we could set aside such things and work in unison. We could probably cure world hunger, probably most if not all diseases, and who knows what else we could achieve?
No, instead we let petty bickering and delusions about how "We" are better then "Them". Not even knowing who we or 'them' are (sorry for the grammer on this). Who knows who we've killed in our ignorance. Could have been some budding scientist who could have created a cure for cancer, who died because of some crazy war somewhere. Will we ever actually become enlightened? Or will our own egos always get in the way?

There will never be a way to fix this problem, Mytical. There will always be some people who will say things about race, colour, religious beliefs etc. It's just the way that we are. There isn't really a way to stop it.

A person can dream can't they? Yeah I am realist enough to know that people won't get over themselves anytime soon. That people will always think they know better then other people. Who to love, how to worship, how to raise kids. How dare I question their perfection

Aahh, and here we arrive at the heart of the, in my opinion unsolvable, problem. Belief systems usually concern not only what you should do, but also how the whole society should be like. And very often two or more visions collide. The more these visions differ, the higher chance for discrimination, suppression and/or conflict. I don't think peaceful solutions are always beneficial, or even possible.
A different story is that sometimes, (or often, judge it by yourselves) these 'petty differences' do matter, at least for certain people, and another quarrel is at hand.

Yeah well, some people just want to consider themselves better than others. This is pretty sad but I don't think it will change (at least not any time soon)
And I also don't like those that 'generalize' and look in the past. (e.g. those that say russians are 'evil' just because of Stalin, the Mafia and the communism that went wrong) - believe me there are some.

we are humane
humans are flawed people.
we have meny weakness.
one of them is fear of the differnt.
when we fear it,we hate it.
when we hate it we descriminate it,blaim it for all our troubles ,etc.
and eventually go to war with it.
we hate it even more when it wins,but let us live,we feel defeated and our hate grows bolder,we hate the very fondation of it,it existence makes us angery,reminding us of our own failer,knowing that they are better,and we grow so hatefull we do terrible things.
and they? they are only to blaimed for every being differnt.

Personlay i do not even care, only case i use skincolor or other stuff are if i am going to have to identify/find somebody. And that is about it.
PS: people are weak, society fails, and we will continue as long as there is people around who is thinking themself superior.

It's not the problem in some people thinking they're superior.
The problem is in people who refuse to acknowledge that we are superior.
All those poor heathen and/or liberal souls go around refusing to disappear and we're left no choice but to help them.
So it is obviously them you have to blame for the lack of peace in the world.
