Examples of two creatures that could be added in the towns:
Haven - Pikeman and Wisp
Inferno - Efreet and Demon Knight
Sylvan - Wolf (or White Tiger) and Mantis
Dungeon - Troglodyte and Beholder (or Faceless)
Academy - Dragon Golem and Sphinx (or Manticore)
Necropolis - Death Knight and Crypt Fiend (or Mummy)
Fortress - Troll (or Halfling) and Valkyrie
Stronghold - Harpy and Behemoth
10 is not better than 7?
I Agree with you to have 10 creatures a town instead of 7, but they be more like H4, for example:
Necropolis/Inferno
Necroferno
Tier 1: imp / skeleton
and they have two upgrades one primary and one alternative
and there would be 4 towns in the original H6.

10 creatures per town? Well...
An idea could be adding some town specialisation. Somewhat like the system in H4, but better. So f.ex. for the knight faction you could choose to develop your town to typical knight creatures like champions, crusaders and the like. Or you might develop your town more to a cleric town type containing monks, angels and the like. This would effectively double faction variety.
But 10 different creatures in 1 town? I prefere not.
But 100 different factions, each with their own creatures? Why not? Could be fun.
What would be more important imho would be hero (and creature?) development. The system in H5 was already quite good. I think, basically stick to that system, but add more variations.
And the magic system should be reworked. It was never really done well. The "elemental" magic in H3 was a good base. But there where at least 2 schools missing: death and life. H4 added these, but dropped the elemental system. H5 introduced light magic, destructive magic, and the like. Not bad idea. But why not adapt this to the elemental type of magic? After adding life and death magic of course.
So basically there may be these magic schools: Air, water, fire, earth, life, death. And maybe add ice as another elemental magic school. And earth could be divided into 2 classes: a) earth and b) stone/ore. That would be 7 different magic schools, which should be able to cover all aspects.
And 1 thing more i'd like to see: Special development options which are only available by special gameplay. So letÄs say a hero collects kind of karma points by doing or not doing something. Then if enough of karma is collected the hero may be offered something special matching the type of karma collected.

I love the Pikeman but a Wisp? Isn't that a ghost or something?

6 magic schools is too many. H5 system is quite good since you can specialize your hero. in H3 you have a bit of everything in each school, but some kind of spells are better in some specific magic schools.
maybe there should be a school for adventure spells :
-summon boat
-summon creatures
-dimension door
-castle door
-fly
-water walk
-haunt mines
-see heroes, castles and garnisons
-see bonuses
-identify hero / army
-hide army
-lay trap (to slow down enemy heroes)
-summon elemental guards (summon a wandering army of elementals wherever you want near your hero)
-etc...

I think is good 10 creatures,but not necroferno(or other combined towns)

i think ten creatures would be great BUT i hope heroes 6 will be much like heroes 3+the heroes skills of heroes 5)
I also like the fact that heroes 3 is reasonabel balanced(the towns)
and PLEASE don't go combined towns like inferno/necro or nature/swamp
furthermore i like the idea of ten creatures but there shouldn't come stupid creature's.
and one other thing i hope you wont have to wait aeons for the loading of the computers turn

I have a proposal:
not as in H4;
Not for official campaign H6;
nice work Jiriki9
for each faction to be multiple creatures / tier example:
Core: 1,2,3,4,5,6 .... etc..
elite: a, b, c, d, e, f, g. ..... etc..
Champion: A, B. ..... ETC
choice of three creatures for core and elite and one champion
to make by player before the start of the game through an interface simple sample:
choose:
Core: 1,2,3,4,5,6 .... etc.. - 1, 5, 6
elite: a, b, c, d, e, f, g. ..... etc.. - B, c, f
Champion: A, B. ..... ETC - A
or at random.
could be introduced fan-made creatures but passed through a filtering system advisor "to establish"

7 is perfect as it is
besides if they do less units in each faction, there are more room for diffrent factions
