Earth 2100
A TV show and video making competition that asks entrants to imagine the future of our planet. Looks like it could be a ton of fun if anyone has the time to enter, or if you just want to post your ideas here. What will your part of the world look, smell, feel like - exactly. I realise there are threads in OSM about this stuff, this is meant to be less formal blah  Anyway, here's thewebsite

Earth 2100. A bleak landscape where people are barely scraping by. Following a complete world wide economy collapse, a plague broke out. With everything in disarray, the government did not react fast enough, and 80% of the worlds population parished before it could be stopped. Only one small island was completely spared from the devestation, being the only one prepaired for the total collapse of everything.
Known now only as CC, what the initials once stood for is kept from the outside world. It's history and who found it also is kept secret, and the person is only known as M who died not long after from stress.
CC is a paradise, but it is wrapped in a bubble. All of its energy is 100% renewable, and the punishment for polluting is so harsh that nobody dares do it. Somebody by the name of E figured out a non-fossil fuel engine, and O set up the perfect legal system (Well except for the harshness and strictness).

When I saw the title of this thread, I instantly thought of the Polish RTS series (possibly our first computer games to be noticed in the outside world), Earth 2140, 2150 and 2160. Then I wondered why this is in the Tavern.

I hope that till 2100 Romania will promote in the second world. We'll get rid of the corupted system, our universities will be in Top 100 (finally), and gypsies and hungarians will be respected.
But perhaps I'm too optimistic.

Perhaps the one world goverment plan will be true by then?There are no longer individual countries, but rather "world union".Think if the whole world would put its economic and scientific powers together.If that could have happened we would be living mech era by now
