I'm having mixed signals here.
It looks a lot like RE 4 but it seems good still. I was hoping for more survival less shoot em up.

Doesn't bother me a whole lot. Seeing the chainsaw guy, however, annoyed me.

Quite sad...
The first time I saw the in-game feature of RE5 I got an instant flashback to RE4. The fact is both games have the same gameplay sistem. I find it very enjoyable because I got impressed with RE4.
However, it's been said that RE5 will not be available for PC, which saddens me. The first question that comes up to my mind is WHY? Come on, I upgraded my PC recently and hoped get my hands on RE5, but It seems that It can not be.
One of the things of RE5 that I'm fond of is the running and smart infected (I'm not sure I can call them zombies). I got a DVD with some scenes of the gameplay and I felt an adrenaline rush when saw many infected people coming desesperately to you.
Even if I really liked RE4, I'm not going to buy a PS3.

If Capcom released Devil May Cry 4 on the PC, then I'm sure they'll release Resident Evil 5.

Careful, there's a really nasty spoiler floating around on the net about Resident Evil 5 and a character in the previous series. If it's true, I'm not even going to bother playing the game because there won't be much of a point in doing so now.

I dont really enjoy survival-horror series (execpt for Silent Hill series), and though RE4 was good for me, i rather not play something similiar. IMO 5th part wont be a huge success, because its starting to look like an action game with horror elements.

RE4 was very fun.
not sure about the 5 yet. the gameplay will probably be good since it looks like it the same as in RE4, but I don't know about the atmosphere... far cry 2 doesn't look very resident evil-esque after all.

Chris rocks! I remember playing him on the old RE2 on Sony... brings back memories... But that is confirmed, no spoiler or anything.

Anyone have this? I'm tempted to buy it but from what I've read, it's little more than Resident Evil 4 with a co-op focus. I don't mind if the series is supposed to be co-op, like Left 4 Dead, but Resident Evil? It doesn't fit. That'd imply the heroes did the smart thing and actually stuck together for once instead of trying to figure everything out seperately.

Resident evil 4 and 5 isn't really resident evil :S They both are shure fun, but none of them is a horror game like Resident Evil used to be.
But Res 5 is a great game in many other ways...

you had a girl with you in re4 too. except she war more clever. she hid before the boss came lol.
(I played the demo of re5 and lost because shiva got owned by the chainsaw guy)
I felt less comfortable with the controls in re5 than in re4. maybe because I played re4 on PS2 and unlocked all the bonus, so I got very used to the controls, while I played the re5 demo on xbox360.

Hi, well just for the clearing I have Ps3, Xbox 360 and a Wii.
RE5, will it come out for Wii? Cause I want a good shooting game for Wii, I have Resistance Fall of man on PS3(and possibly soon Resistance2), for Xbox360 I have GoW2.
But will RE5 come out on wii? if it will, when? I know that RE4 is on wii edition so I'm thinking of buying it but I don't know if I should wait until 5 comes out on wii.
what do you think I should do?

This one is one of the most brilliant posts by Omega I've ever read, including Gladerion.
