Mars isn't very interesting either.

Tbh every planet that is close to us is the same boring sterile wasteland.

Its atleast all a lot more interesting then our moon (which should get a real name ) because it might have been lots of water and maybe even intelligent (on the level of cats and wolfs etc) speices there.

But its really sad we wont be able to travel to these "earth" twin planets in my lifetime

I dont really see the purpose on going to the moon anyway.
Focus on Mars instead where much more interesting things have happened, maybe they will find an underground refuge of aliens there lol ^^ <.<
We have not proven they aren't there, maybe the springs of life on Mars are like volcano activity, life life life.

I have a weird theory

Mars was once like Earth - Filled with Life - Then the eco system just died and all died or fled (there could have been very intelligent life there)

Now we have Earth, and one day earth might die and we might need to flee, so I want a moon base, a Mars base and a new planet For safety

Maybe there was an advanced alien species there, once. And it blew itself to smithereens!

The moon is a useful launching point in a manned mission to Mars. NASA  is anticipated to go back to the moon in 2020 to prepare such a launching point.

Mercury will be probably be the next stop after Mars. They've pinged the poles of Mercury and it's possible there is ice on the planet in the cratered areas, so that potential goody-spot will be the next subject of interest.

Manned flight to Mercury? I find that hard to imagine. Although interesting, Mercury is so close to sun that even taking pictures of it safely has been difficult.

As far as I know that was due to the luminosity, but visuals aren't necessary for navigating. Daytime temperatures at Mercury are at 350C, which is a good amount less than Venus. Plus ideally they would be in the cratered areas at the north pole (that are indefinitely kept out of the sunlight since Mercury has no tilt) But then there's the issue of freezing .

I'm not sure how plausible it is, but it seems to be the next plausible thing after Mars (excluding Mars' moons).

Nah, they where nr 2 to the moon. The Soviet Union beat them to the moon. But they was the first ones who got back afterwards, which itself is a good job.
Not saying that they do not deserve praise, because they do.

I wonder when will the first nuke/war on the Moon happen or when we're gonna mine and destroy it also. I'll congratulate humanity when it'll drop its huge ego and start to part ways with a virus behavior
