EDIT: Umm yeah, for those not familiar with martial art stuff... it's a guy swinging a stick with sick speed and style.

I'm pretty sure what arguments it will be here (if any), but no, the stick isn't "very light" in comparison to a real weapon: Some fast katana dude (pretty cool) (in comparison)

Those staff moves have a stylish air about them  But not as much fun watching a katana unless in a swordfight.

Well the staff is extremly light, the same kind that they use in freeform Bo katas where tradition doesn't matter. It's meant to be as light as possible. I have a red oak Bo and it's several times heavier than the kind they use for show.
Very showy Katana kata too, I have a sword too but I prefer swinging a stick around since I won't risk cutting my arm off.

I know that it is light, but something heavier (like a Katana) can't be much slower, that was my point.
