yeah, it's a good one.. don't even know which is better, this or the homm2 vampire..
the homm2 vampire looked more like it's going to turn into a bat at any moment, but your version has some very nice details that create a very nice atmosphere.. i think the shape of the chin must be one of them.. looks great..

btw also tryed my hand on the dragon golem.. is darion hosting the pictures at his geocities site?

The HOMM2 vampire inpressed me! BUt aerial will show you all soon the real spirit of an COOL vampire. some poison mist and giant bats around him must do the job

had the same problem with the dragon golem picture.. what hepled was this:
1) copy the location of the picture into your browser.
2) go to smoke, or whatever.. i.e. come back after a while and get the picture. reload or whatever you feel like.
the important thing is that no one must have tryed to access this picture from inside the forum for a while, because when they do so, the geocities web site will be suspended.. once you have the picture in your cache, you can also see the picture in the forum, but don't use reload when this thread is open, because then the geocities site will be suspended again.
i would suggest not placing the pictures in the forums as links or pictures, but to post the url as text. otherways each time the thread is opened, the geocities site is suspended. but some other ppl don't seem to have problems with this..

I don't find it cartoonish, perhaps the colors are too shiny...but, hey, I draw it in Microsoft Paint...
If it would be rendered 3d it could be something.
And yes, the mantle of the h2 vampires gives them more mistery and power...still mine is classier.

vamps are cool...
...too bad I can't see the first picture though...
...I have only seen Lith playing HoMM3 so I don't know how the HoMM2 vamps moved... only hope HoMM4 vamps are not like the pic we have seen ...eek!!!

when i took a second look at my dragon golem, i found that i should work a little bit more on it, because it didn't quite look the way i wanted. so i'll send it soon.
i wonder what the aerial's vampire is about.. maybe a vamp might have a dark cloud with some bats above it and when the vamp turns into a bat (maybe without an explosion, but just smoothly changes shape. he should have his cloak held about him with his hand the way it was in homm2 to make it work), he would just join the bats in the cloud above.

darion: the picture i sent you a few days ago.. don't worry abut it. just created my own geocities page and it turned out that it was as easy as anything could be.
so, the dragon golem is here:

well, didn't have many ideas how to decorate it further, and i am not exactly sure about the material of it's muscles. and if it was to have a breath attack, it could have a pulsating vortex of some etheral substance inside it's chest, so that the substance would flow through the backbone and out of the mouth when the dragon golem opens it. well, also, didn't draw all the back muscles (the tiny ones on the backbone) and the hindleg muscles and the ones on the other side of the body.
the shape of it's horns might depend of it's moods.

mm..maybe i will feel like drawing another vampire picture, but i am not quite sure about it..

no, the research thing was just a joke. i am afraid that i will not work on it further, but i guess i'll better leave it unfinished the way it is atm. and actually the "logic" of it's muscles is a bit sick, and it did make me feel sick when drawing it, so that's why i am quite fed up with it and not very willing to continue. but i guess some sick invention sort of thing is what the dragon golem is supposed to be. and i just didn't want it to look ugly or tech.

Nice work, Gerdash and Vlad.
I really like the artificial muscles. Reminds me a bit of the 'myomer bundles' in Battletech.
