Mana Shield: When attacking this creature, its mana is used to absorb a portion of the damage. Every mana point absorbs 30 points of damage (so instead of reducing the stack's HP, you reduce its mana, if higher than 0 that is)
Mana Regeneration: This creature regenerates 20% of its maximum mana each turn.
They could work well together for a creature

Lol you take stuff from Warcraft 3/WoW.
Both Spirit Link and Mana Shield are from Wc3/WoW (but yeah, its not so strange - I have used Spirit Link in lot in my factions, contests and "Xerox HoMM6 II")

Actually Mana Shield was from Spellforce I don't even know about WoW so it's just a pure coincidence if it's like that

In a lot of areas it is unavailable to make resemblances. What fantasy game containing magic doesn't contain the "Fireball" spell ?

Meditation: Creature can use a turn to regenerate all of its mana to full capacity (may not be overpowered if the creature doesn't have THAT much mana)
Illusion: Creature can use this ability to create 3 other fake targets of itself. The illusions aren't able to deal any damage and die instantly, but they can still block enemy shooters, etc. When the ability is used, three more creatures of the same type appear adjacent to this creature, and the original creature is then exchanged randomly with one of the illusions (there's also a chance that it won't be exchanged), so that the enemy won't know which is real and which is fake. Only the player that commands these creatures is able to see the fake ones as semi-transparent.

An excellent ability for "Ghostbusters":
Magic Weapon: The melee attacks of this unit ignore the ability "Incorporeal".

Defensive Position: This creature always retaliates before it is hit, like it had the Preparation perk and defended. Preparation perk has no effect on this creature.
Melt Resistance: When striking, this creature has a certain chance (like Bash, etc) to lower the magic resistance or immunity of the enemy by 50% for three turns.
(it's like every spell cast on the target thereafter has the Expert Irresistible Magic skill)

Acctually that seems like a pretty useless ability... It's only effective against ghosts... (with H5 model). Although the ghosts themselves could have this ability... Ghosts against ghosts... That would be more interresting.

Enchant: Activated Ability, the creature enchants its weapon, allowing it to ignore all spells and abilities protecting the enemy. The effect lasts for 3 turns.
Better? Would still work on ghosts while being useful against others as well, e.g Arcane Armour, Endurance...

Sloth - This creature cannot retaliate and creatures attacking it may attack an additional time.
Edit: changed from twice to an additional time.

I added in a new size category in the Creature Creation contest that I thought will add new spacial elements to the game:'
Tiny: This creatures occupies a 1x1 area on the battle grid. Units may move through this creature's square as though it were an open square.

lol I think I accidentally deleted my last post when I was editing it.
@mamga, adding in negative abilities will open up a whole new aspect to the game as far as balancing out creatures. Instead of just giving lower stats or something, we can add in negative abilities to creatures to make it more dynamic. Unless I'm forgetting something, I don't think there are any negative abilities in Heroes 5.

aura of elemental vulnerability is one but the gargoyle uses that as an advantage... same with the Beserker.

I don't quite agree. Ghosts in themselves can be a real pain, so ensuring a positive hit could be quite valuable for some Might factions like Haven. Furthermore, Dwarves have rune of Etherealness. Plus, not all abilities need to be major abilities.
And there are already negative abilities in the game. Consider Cowardice, Treachery and Short Range as examples.

What's the new thing about creatures occupying 1x1 square? Do you mean to make very few 1x1 creatures? Besides I don't think you should be able to go through it...

Well, that's true. I just considered one creature having this ability, but if a pack of creatures had that ability, it could turn out quite useful. I also forgot about the dwarven rune. Also it will be effective against copied creatures (from the spell phantom forces) I guess it's a good ability after all.

Opportunist: This creature strikes any enemy who bypasses (if the enemy goes adjacent to this creature and doesn't stop, but continues to move, this creature makes an attack against it)
Parry: This creature has a certain chance (like creature abilities like Bash, etc) when being attacked, to parry the opponent's attack (and receive no damage) and then retaliate. This can happen ONLY when it has a retaliation available.

Oh, I have read that excellent thread, but I didn't remember all of the abilities. Even the name is the same (I mean Opportunist)
I think great minds think alike
At least Parry is unique... or at least I hope so.
