Rise of the White Wolf
One of my favourite games is being remade and enhanced, it'll be released under the name "The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf"

(Not any gameplay in the trailer, it's extremly cool though)
Apparently the combat system will be completely remade (With more combat animations yay!), new music will be added and the character development system improved.
I've been thinking about getting a PS3 or 360 for a while now... and this might just convince me 
It would be nice to play the game in full graphics.

I loved it!
One of the more engaging games I've ever played! There were times when I sat like, 10 minutes thinking about how a choice would affect the storyline, and in which way I wanted to develop Geralt.
The battle system was somewhat easy but really exiting, it had "click and slash" but with a bit more dynamics than the average RPG imo, with the timing and special attacks.
The music! The music! Everything! A mature RPG!

Hey! That's kinda harsh! 
Though I have to agree with you... that's the one aspect I didn't like...
Hopefully, with the new version, you won't be able to get women into bed with like... 3 comments. Though I doubt it.

It's far from just tits and sex that make this game mature IMO. It's a good, dark RPG, which can get kind of complicated in some issues (such as alchemy) but I like that. The only problem to me is the kinda sucky combat system, but the game involved me enough with the storyline and characters to oversee that part.
I liked this game too, except for some bug that left me unable to die That kind of killed the joy. And it sort of reminds of a mummorpuger, as Yahtzee said once.
Anyway, I heard that a bookstore here got the book recently so I gotta get it.
And as for everyone hating Geralt, hey, if your job was to go around slaughtering monsters 24/7, and you looked as hot as he does, wouldn't you allow yourself some relief once in a while?

I think many people have just locked their minds on the whole sex thing, probably media's fault... have you played the game? If you did, you should know how many choices you have, one of them is wether to have sex or not

Yes. It's a natural law, white haired characters = coolness (Except Sephiroth, wtf is cool with him? And why is he still popular?)

well i have tried The Witcher,and IMO it was good, but quite far from perfection. I hope this one won't wont be so sucky as the original game.
about those books... it was quite hard to get the first book in my country. A local bookstore only got 2 copies,and i was quick enough to get one. paid almost 15 euros for it(a bit owerpayed,but definetely worth it)

The new combat system is going to be completely awesome... why didn't the pc version have this? Cinematic fatality cameras FTW!
