Well I have often thought about buying the game now that I can actually afford it but if I don't like the game then it won't be for such a silly reason that Ash gave in that the graphics are bad. The graphics aren't the best I've seen but they wouldn't ruin the game for me. lol
It's still stupid how, like Mvass said, that I have to buy the game and then have to pay to actually play it. I want to buy the game and just play.

All constant updates are that and you download the expansions etc from the Blizzard site free.

Looks like a few things have changed, thanks xerox.
-Maiev finally executed Illidan.
I thought the players battled him? Or did he flee cowardly
-The Forsaken betrayed the Horde.
Not surprised. Sylvanas still in the lead?
-Northrend suffered global warming and Icecrown Glaicar melted.
Lol
-The Blood Elves were redeemed by the Light and the Sunwell was rebirthed.
What really happened there? If sunwell was reborn their magic addiction should be satiated, has their former alliance changed?
-The Scourge invaded in order to lure the Horde and Alliance to Northrend were the Lich King would turn them into his servants.
He's still waiting up there doing nothing?
-The Horde is soon getting a new warchief and are returning to their old brutal and aggresive ways.
What happened to Thrall?

This debate will go nowhere.
There are people who play this game AND have a certain dose of maturity.
There are people who play his game AND are complete retards/13 years old.
There are people who do not like it pure and simple.
There are people who do not like MMOs pure and simple.
...
And then, there are the ones that trash MMOs just because they cannot afford them/are to cheapscakes to buy it/never played it but they heard it is cool to trash them.
I see no point in this topic. If one wants to play it, then let it be so. If not, let it be so also. If you want a topic about how much crap can be inserted into a game, open one called Heroes 5.

I don't like Blizzard. I don't like WoW. I don't know how other members feel, but I would be pleased to hear they agree with me. There are a lot of issues on this, and I am not going to survive one more quote war with mvasillev so I don't feel eager to open a thread "Why GW is better than WoW" which is, to me, a well known fact.

You help Maiev battle him, but she does the final killing blow. Akama helps you too. Its a very complex story.
Making a long story short, Akama and Maiev worked together and inflitrated the Black Citadel/Temple.
Here is the Black Temple trailer; its really well done and its narrated by Akama and his point of view.
http://media.worldofwarcraft.com/blacktemple-trailer/blacktemple_ensub.html
Sylvanas was not the one resposible for the treachery. Instead it was her an orginzation known as the Royal Apothecary Society led by Grand Apothecary Putress.
He and the Dreadlord Varimthas betrayed the Horde during a battle against the Scourge in Northrend.
In the battle, the Forsaken betrayers released their own plague upon the Scourge and upon the living.
A large % of the Horde, Alliance AND Scourge forces died then. Undercity is actualy captured by the Dreadlord in-game and you have to retake it with the help of Thrall and Sylvanas if you're Horde or Jaina, Broll, Varian and Valeera if you're Alliance.
The Blood Elf story is very long and stretched through the whole Burning Crusade expansionen. Basically, Kael'thas promised the Belfs a new fantastic land filled with magical energies in Outland.
But when the Blood Elves came to Outland they saw that the "planet" was just a wasteland and Kael'thas had betrayed them.
Kael'thas sucked demon fel-energies and space energies too ("nether energies"). In the end, the Demons took control over Kael'thas instead. The demonlord Kil'Jaedan commanded Kael'thas to return to the Sunwell on Azeroth and use all his nether energies to summon him to Azeroth.
Kael'thas and his demons and felbloods etc took control of the Sunwell Isle. However an joint faction known as the Shattered Sun Offensive managed (with the help of the Blue Dragons) banish Kil'Jaedan.
The Sunwell was tainted but with the heart of a Naaru (living beigns of light), the Sunwell was revived and the Blood Elves redeemed.
Its unknown if the Blood Elves still thirst, but the Burning Crusades end-cinematic seems to say that the Blood Elves are not addicted anymore.
The Blood Elves are still with the Horde though. They dont want to join the Alliance, and the Alliance doesnt want them to join.
The Lich King has done lots of things.
He has destroyed the Troll empire up there, enslaved most of the Nerubians, enslaved a half-giant race known as the Vrykul and lots of other stuff.
Now recently he attacked the Alliance and Horde capital cities in an successful attempt to lure them to Northrend - so that he could battle them where he is strongest.
The Lich King also successfully manages the Horde and Alliance to break their pact and start the Fourth War (wc3 was the third war, wc2 the second war etc).
Thrall is still warchief but in Outland the Orcs discovered a small group of completly uncorrupted orcs who did not have green skin - but brown skin.
Grom Hellscreams son also recided there, his name is Garrosh. Garrosh gains very high ranks in the Horde and challenges Thrall in an arena duel. Garrosh almost wins (if he won it would likely make him a new warchief) when the Scourge interupts and attacks Orgrimmar, the capital city/fortress.
Garrosh Hellscream also leads the forces in Northrend and is basically everything Thrall is not.
Garrosh wants the Horde to return to its old evil ways and likes to wage war on the Alliance (just as the Lich King had planned).
I suspect that someday Thrall will either die or be assassinated, then Garrosh will be Warchief and we might get a Warcraft 4 RTS.
Garrosh is basically warchief in Northrend, Thrall has little command there.

Oh, it is a good example alright. I played Runescape for a while and let me tell you, it's one of the WORST games I have ever played. and the people on there, omfg. I met so many freaks. I had a rl friend who would skip days off school just to play the game. He later left school to play WoW.

Same reason why I don't like Counter-Strike played with retards either: being boring repetitive without any tactics.
That's what most MMOs are because let's face it, it's utterly difficult to find good players.

Well i like WoW(and Guild Wars too) but several aspects in wow are really sucky:
1. Gold farmers
2. Ninja looters in PuG's(KIDS, ALWAYS USE LOOT MASTER!)
3. Twinks(although they are no more, but very annoying in lol lvl BG's)
4. big guilds think that they're gods(esspecially lithuanian Mad Hamsters and Kershto Demonai(WTF thinked of this stupid name? Demons of Veangeance... geez...)
5. gankers and corpse campers.
Most people hate graphicks? I LOL'ed at that. why nobody said that WC3 graphicks sucked? Remember the models looked like somebody roughly chopped them with an axe instead of carving nicely with a knife?
monthly fee...well i buy 6 prepaid cards as i get a chance(6 prepaids- legal servers for almost a year )
Addictive? Yes. But friends, beer and a nice romantic evening with your girl(if you have one that is) can cure that.
Runescape sucks! thats sad but true. i used to play it(had done all the quests, raised my mining/smithing to 99 etc). and i think i'll spit with blood for the rest of my life. Plus my cousin annoys me with begging to do the quests for him. fat and lazy son of a b!t$#

I've read a little about WC lore and afaik Deathwing (evil dragon) is still locked up in that place in wetlands. They should create something about it.
And by the way, Runescape is the mother of MMOs, I think everybody who has played Runescape has played it as their first MMO.
