New Town Type: Ruins (Throwback to old H3 Dungeon)
I have been thinking of a new town type for Heroes 6, featuring creatures with a similar back story to those from TotE, but had been roughing it on there own (albeit in close proximity to each other) and have finally gotten together loosely among old ruins that have long been forgotten.

Obviously, the idea isn't finished, but you can see where it is going. Blade Dance is similar to War Dance ability, while Shriek stuns creatures in front of you up to three spaces away. The hunter abilities power up the creature based on battle terrain, increasing atk, def, dmg, spd, and init. The serpentress spells are mostly hexing ones, not damaging ones. As for the evil eyes hex shot, that inflicts several negative statuses at once. If you can't figure out which creature was going to be 6th tier, you really aren't much of a Heroes fan. As for level 7, I was thinking of a giant mutant toad or snake. Possibly a monstrous Ogre even.

If this is still underground you're not going to get Harpies to fit (I put Cockatrice in at this level).

I doubt Ubival is going to throw the current Dungeon. And 2 underground towns are too much.

Did you not read my post. This is a ruins town, they have moved into old ruins and built there new homes there. They are not underground, although the Troglodytes do live in caves that lead underground.

Oh, I don't know, we have two grassland towns, why not two underground towns, I mean, they are going to be different (I know it's not underground, but a good many people would automatically associate Troglodyte = Underground).

Hey, we are talking about surface vs. underground, not grassland vs. underground. It's a BIG difference.

So it's seven surface towns vs one underground town... I think there's room for another subterranean one.
Personally I would have worshipped Nival if they'd kept the classic Dungeon and added the Dark Elves under the name "Coven" or "Refuge" or something. Would have been more varied.

Another underground town would be nice. Although it's the same terrain basically, it's not like there aren't two grass-native factions as well.

What about the dwarves? They live underground too. (sometimes) From the stories and background and such, they sound like they live mostly underground, but dabble above ground too. Besides, I'm expecting Heroes 6 to expand on water with sea towns and such, so Troglodytes can specialize in underground or sea battles. Perhaps the rest of the creatures can be dual like that too, like Sirens with water specialty or serpentress that can specialize in underground or water battles.

A few Heroes V maps put the Dwarves underground, even though their Fortress interiors were still clearly being pulled apart by snowstorms.
