What is the meaning of this...?!

LichKing...what are you doing Posting these abreviated responses coming from nowhere?! Dude...You were my inspiration:

"You're the reason in my life, you're the inspiration...You bring meaning to my life, you're the inspiration! I wanna have you near me...I wanna be with you, baby!...No one needs you more than I ...need...you!" (Peter Cetara - Karate Kid) Hahaha!

Ok, I'll admit, I'm drunk on alcohol right now and my head is weaving from side to side as I type...like if I was playing the piano...Mozart-style!

Pandora...your Post about France was awesome! I totally loved the part about being "caught-up" in the moment at Sacre-Coeur. You described it so well that I was mesmorized (Totaly felt like I was there!) and have decided to take my wife there as a gift for our 1st born! Please don't delete it, so that I may reread it in the future...for inspiration!

P.S. Pandora, I pulled that "sheet" thing on Asmodean in his Music Thread, as well. Good one!

EDIT: I like Svarog's idea of having 2 questions going at the same time. Maybe we should start a new Thread for this and put this one to rest?!

Pan, you can ask RSF that question again. So we'll have two chains of questions, and it'll be going faster.

Well my question at RSF really was just a joke. Maybe an ill-recieved one, but nonetheless was just a ha-ha

So of
Quote:
How does everyone like that?
and
Quote:
meanwhile, where the hell is dingo?!

Which of these is the right question?

answer a: I like it just fine.

answer b: I dunno.

My question!

question a: was I spamming just now?

question b: can spam be spam if the spam spans multiple lines?

okay - I'll stop it.

Truth Question for RSF:

You and I had a rather long talk about writing, and 'showing not telling'. My question to you is this : when you are writing Edwin in say a bar-scene. Are you seeing him? Does the smoke burn your eyes and its odour cling to your hair? Are steins clanging against hard wood tables, rattling the dishes around them? Or is edwin just at a bar?

Shorter version of the same question: did the talk help the way you think as you write?

Quick Response

Ok I'm here.  I was out snowboarding, it was fun.

Now to answer the question.  This one time I slipped, and fell on my Buttocks.  It was icy, so there was a small amount of pain involved.

My Question is the question Pandora asked.

Hmm... a bit of a hush has fallen over this thread yet again...

Question to Svarog then: What is the most romantic thing you've ever done for a woman?

note: by romantic I mean real romance. and by woman - i mean real woman not statues! lol

Damn that question pan. I was searching through my brain archives for hours, until my brain really started to hurt, and then I stopped. (The only thing I could remember were statues. There was once a statue of a gorgeous woman I was in love with, and I bought flowers for her, but to my disappointment I noticed only later that her arms were cut off so she couldn’t accept gifts. ) So much from my romantic attempts.
I really don’t recall anything romantic I’ve ever done for a girl. (I write birthday cards for a friend, but they’re more of a toss with a creative finish in the end ) Maybe the closest I’ve been to being romantic was asking the Brit from the previous story on a midnight walk in Ljubljana, but I was younger then and I still tried about these things, as little as it was.
Your question reminded me of a thread Shaihulud revived recently in other side, a thread for self-criticism, where I mention this as one of my bad sides. Not that I’m unhappy with it, but many girls today just still fall for romance.
I’m not at all the courteous lover with manners, but more like the honest savage with desires. And the idea of romance doesn’t go well with the definition I have for myself, at least in the sense that many people nowdays understand romance. Some girls may find anything romantic, but I never intend to be like that, cause I only do what makes us both feel good.
Hope that lengthy explaination will compensate for the lack of direct answer.

Now, why do you people keep preventing this thread from having 2 heads instead of one? In order to help the new head pop out, I’ll ask two questions now, if that’s ok, so that we have a double pace here.
First qustion to Leo: I noticed your wife has an interesting ethnic background, so I wonder how you two met and wheres she from?

Next question to first taker (other than leo): What was the last really huge fight you had? With who was it and over what? Details, details…

First qustion to Leo: I noticed your wife has an interesting ethnic background, so I wonder how you two met and wheres she from?
*My wife, Ya-Wen, is from Taiwan. She moved here, Ottawa - Canada, with her family when she was 5 years old.

We met one August afternoon many years ago, when I went in to a local Burger King with my cousin, Jean. We were hungry for our weekly Whoppers, so when I walked up to the cash to give my food order, I was surprised to see a vision of beauty staring back at me. So, when I noticed that I was looking in a mirror, I turned to face the cashier, who I'll admit also looked pretty good.

Ya-Wen was so cute wearing her little BK uniform, braces, & glasses; but I mostly noticed the loveliness of her attitude...oh, and her nice chest! Anyways, after giving her our orders, my cousin & I got our food and sat down in the eating area. As Jean & I were throwing fries at each other, Ya-Wen came over to give us heck and clean up our mess by sternly saying: "How old are you guys, because you are acting like little kids?!"

Jokingly, I replied: "Well, I just turned 18 on August 10, so I guess that makes me a man now." With a suspicious look on her face, Ya-Wen asked: "Were you really born on August 10?" In response to this, I produced my driver's license and was confused when Ya-Wen started giggling (as my photo was actually quite nice ). She then said: "I was also born on August 10, but just a year after you!" We continued our little conversation for a few more minutes until she had to return to her duties...of scolding other young customers.

Anyways, as I was leaving the Burger King with my cousin, I kept talking about how interesting that whole exchange with the "cashier" had been. Well, lets just say that had it not been for Jean convincing me to go back in & give Ya-Wen my phone #, who knows where I would be today!*

+My question is for Titanium Alloy: "T-A, what is the most expensive object/service that you have ever stolen?"+

EDIT: Sent T-A an IM requesting his reply.

Well I'm back from the holiday madness/vacation so I'll answer the question anyway and then ask another question to confuse things again.

Yes, Pandora. I really think that helped quite a bit with my writing. It inspired me to create the Writer's Guild thread, because I still feel that discussion over writing really helps A LOT. I thank you for bringing my writing to the next level.

Though I have found a sort of style in my writing. I seem to have a central focus around one main character through out the story. As the events unfold, the thoughts, feelings of the character change. They change constantly and are ever being shaped by the events of the story.

This I find quite difficult to "show" how the character changes rather than "tell." I will find my way in due time. I'd love for you to come to Glade. I think you could help all of us improve.

I usually avoid fighting of all sorts cos i used to have a preety bad temper and one of the reasons i've joined the military was to learn to deal with it!
To my surprise i ended up in a more violent enviroment than the one i left from.Being held 24/7 in a testosteron invaded camp you might be forced to deal some amount of violence.Still it is not theese things i want to tell you about.
The latest fight i was involved in was a couple days ago(cristmas eve).I was out with some frinds for a beer or so and at midnight we went out to light some fireworks. Then i saw a man in the street chasing a woman that was running barefoot, screaming and holding a purse. The man was cursing and he told the lady to stop. When she did, he started slaping her in the face;seeing that me and another friend went running to help the lady. The man, who was drunk starting cursing us and tried to hit us, even attacked me with a knife! After a few moments of rumble we imobilized the guy and then, to our surprise, the lady(who was in fact that man's wife) started pounding us with her feet and started screaming to let her husband go.In the meantime a police patrol showed up and the woman started screaming for help, saying that we attacked her and her husband. We remainded perplex to the woman's declaration..Lucky, the police knew the pair and their nocturnal behaviour so they didn't belive them, but our version.before letting us go they told us that they tried to stop the man beat his wife too, but were put in the same situation!
Next question: to first taker..what was your wildest cristmas like?

Hmm... my wildest Christmas was probably when I lived In Ontario. I had moved there to be with a guy that I had a long distance relationship with for over a year (HUGE error!!!!) Well that relationship went bad after a few months, we had a massive fight a few days before Christmas, which resulted in the SOB being drunk and hitting me. So after that I decided not to go with him to his family for the holidays, and I found myself alone there at Christmas when he and our roomates all went to be with their families.

On December 23 of that year, the furnace (heats the house) burnt out. I had no idea who to call to repair it, and since I had about 100 bucks to my name, I wasn't about to call anyone. Now in Canada at Christmas time if you have no heat you are FUBAR. Its a bad scene.

Now remember that I was extremely furious with my ex for hitting me... I mean I was livid. I can take a lot, but Hit me and you will pay!

So what I did was call everyone I knew out there and invited them for a big long party! So soon I had many people over, and much booze and other party treats -- but even with all the people, it was still freakin' cold. Never fear tho, we did have a fireplace! But... what to burn, what to burn....?

"What to burn" isn't a diffiicult question to answer for a vindictive woman who still had a bit of a shiner on her right eye. The answer : HIS STUFF!!

All my friends knew what happened, so they were more than willing to help. I wasn't supremely evil tho, I mean i only detroyed things that werent that important. Like we tore up his shed, a few end tables - things like that

It was a very fun 4 day Christmas/ burning party And the hangover ended just in time for new years LOL

My question to anyone out there:

What is the best compliment you ever recieved?

Pandora, the black-eyed reindeer...had a really big shiner!

Pandora, that Christmas time story seems to be straight out of a movie. I would say "Sorry to hear about the abusive boyfriend", but I'm pretty sure you can take care of yourself; & that story seems to support my argument...if I must say so!

Good joke/answer RealDeal...I will also have to pass on Pandora's question as my answer would get me in trouble with my wife & would certainly make me seem "egotistical".

P.S. IM sent to Titanium Alloy regarding my previous question to him.
