But logic is tied to our human minds and therefore limited, we often make wrong deductions when we do not have all the clues we need or we are missing something we aren't even aware of

Yes, indeed that statement couldn't be any more true. But as the human race develops, I belive that logic will grow with it. Heck, look at the great masterminds of the past, and how the heliocentric theory changed logic, and Enstein's relativity. The greatest thing about logic is that it adapts. That's where intuition gains a minus; it won't ever change, because it is embedded within our very genes and concious. So sometimes the extent of intuition can be outmatched by the extent of logic.

However, logic is cold, and the facts can make the mind come to different conclusions. Yes, the facts don't change, but deduction makes them warp to the thought and mind of the deducer. If it can be made to look good for them, then logic is flawed. In short, there's no such thing as plain and simple logic.

In a way we do assimilate the logic of our predecessors as their teachings affect our way of thinking. But as mind opening that might be it's still something offered to us in a plate, it's not quite the same as reaching the conclusion yourself. You keep the results but it is the process that gets you there that sharpens your deductive abilities. Of course if you master the previous you can move on but anyway. I believe that logic is almost as tied to the individual as intuition is with the former simply being re-adjusted to new data.

Like I said, logic is just a tool. It is no wonder that it can adapt or improve or whatever, but just like science (which is also a tool) or language (also a tool -- btw IMO math, for example, is a language too ), they aren't even supposed to be infallible.

(nevermind the fact that science actually requires to be fallible, as otherwise it would be a religion)

That makes no sense. Now let's go worship 2 plus 2 equals 4

Was that intentionally because it was me who posted it, or are you serious?

But if it was serious: What doesn't make sense? The fact that it is a tool? (and tools can improve). What's so incomprehensible about it?

Also, for the fallibility, isn't it OBVIOUS? I mean if people took science/logic/whatever as infallible it would be like religion?

"Hey, you're wrong!"
"Oh damn, you're right. I need to modify my theory!"

vs

"Hey you're wrong!"
"STFU noob, let's adapt the 'facts' to the theory"

No of course it is a tool. I was commenting on the unfortunate comparison with religion. So how about we worship gravity instead?

I still don't think you get it
Why would we worship gravity since it's a tool?
I never said we have to worship logic, in fact I kinda said the opposite.
