Gurni very good choice with commander  Fortress is easy with first aid specialist too . Later main hero can change . Nobody to play fortress?

I've downloaded the map, but I don't know where to put the *.dat file. Does it belong in the normal Heroes3\Data folder?

Could I get some informations about WoG settings?
Someone said WoG settings should be set to default and saved. Is this true?
I do not have any Mods or special "patches" installed (as far as I know...).

Sorry for having made you waiting for one day more.
As I remembered, WoG can't be installed on my comp. The install application warns for the english language set (which is done) and simply closes itself...
As Salamandre said, would it be possible for someone to upload the game ? It's quite big but not that big  That would be nice.

Dat.file must be placed in maps folder.

Yes, a dat.file must be used with default WoG settings to avoid any conflict later. When creating a dat.file the mapmaker always starts from default settings then checks his desired options, which will be saved as a custom dat.
@Paulemile
WoG can't recognize language settings on Vista? Any other can confirm this?

Sorry, Paulemile, this might take days... We'll start without you, but if you manage to install WoG in the next couple of days you can join as Necro or Fortress.

Again, please download the map from the first post (to avoid different versions) and place both files in your Maps folder. Start the game, set your WoG Options to Restore Default and Save. Then go to Multiplayer > Hot Seat > type 6 players (anything) > load the game.
It's easier than it sounds really. 
Week 1, Day 1
Got 700 gold bonus, too little to hire a commander in town... It will have to wait for day 2. Got 3000 gold from 2 chests nearby, enough to build Hall of Sins and hire Cahl... who flagged the Imp dwelling and then caught up with Pyre and brought her some reinforcements. Claimed the ore mine.
The first one who points out I'm playing with a girl gets a kick in the butt; I was inspired by Salamandre's story in which Pan kicked his butt with Pyre... I know I'm not Pan, but a girl a boy can dream.
Here's my starting area (just for the atmosphere - it's nothing to write home about):

This "*.dat" file is shown as a necromediaplayer file for me. Is that ok or should I chose a different application for it?
Btw...is it needed to "study" the map before playing? I haven't taken a single look as of yet, coz I like the random factor...but if it is essential, please tell me...

The dat can't be open, just put it in your maps folder. I even don't think anyone except Vlaad will need the dat, because it is triggered only when the map is starting the first time, but better to have it...

Yeah, the dat file is nothing to worry about, it's just the map settings... Please copy in the Maps folder anyway, just in case.Quote:

It seems Pacifist knows the map by heart ... But the game will be slow, you'll have the time to check the map if you want to.

First Aid resurrects units after combat, Rogues join with Scouting daily... As for sending spies, like Pacifist pointed out - let's not go there. 
Angelito will be fine with Gurnisson and his commander.

I know those new features, no worries.
What I have seen so far in my random WoG games is, if a hero has first aid (or warfare) skill, he automatically has a first aid tent in battle, but the resurrection does NOT work until he buys a tent himself and it is shown in one of his warmachine slots in hero overview.

Rion is still a crap main hero (maybe if he finds some huts and can have some good skills he will be better ). The first aid helps him compete with the underground factions who have easier time to reach second town . Once you have lv7 (or lv8) troops better to have a good main hero . Pyre is very good choice for main (logistics!)

Angelitos turn
so i started off with neela, the first thing i did was look at my second town and i nearly fainted when i saw titans... but i couldn't build anything there so i readjusted... when i looked in the tavern i saw mightymage Dracon and another campaign hero...
after that i got confused and ended my turn on an obelisk.
