Yes, it was an example. If you use a main hero, then change the condition to the defender. I gave the example for this, as well as what to do when fighting neutral monsters in the community map thread.

Ah yes, that example was clarifying.
But I adapted it a little to fit my map, and when the fight is supposed to load, the screen goes black and the cursor changes into an hourglass. Nothing happens from there on.
Tell me, are there any crucial mistakes here?

There are no mistakes but a WoG problem. You can not summon on round 0. (!?BR&19/v997=0) You can have messages or play custom music but casting spells and summon will freeze your game for a while.
If you want the battle to start with summoning creatures, then give to monsters 21-27 (defenders) stone on round zero as: (or stone the attacker, but NEVER both)
!!BM21:M70/1/3; **freeze the defenders for round 0
!!BM22:M70/1/3;
!!BM23:M70/1/3;
!!BM24:M70/1/3;
!!BM25:M70/1/3;
!!BM26:M70/1/3;
!!BM27:M70/1/3;
So they can't move for the round zero, and the battle starts when clones are summoned, round 1.

Why haven't I seen this guide earlier? It is great .
I was actually yesterday trying to do some stuff in battles, but only now I succeeded .
I was thinking, maybe I could add also a link section to the "Useful WoG Modding Guides" -thread. Links to all useful guides .

Chelsea, while comments like "... (summon creature and cast spell)" tells us what's going, nothing is better than pasting the whole script, so we can check for errors...

What has to do battle script with editor, map and crash?
From what I see there is overwhelming usage of objects editing, the editor does not like that. I would start by deleting x/y columns one by one, save, test, delete next until it finds the error, but if multiple errors then your map is in trouble.

You brought this ERM into the game yet?
Do you see the errors?

Chelsea, maybe it is a language problem but I fail to see what you mean.
Is the script wrong or map design which causes the problem? And what is the problem, I did not understand clearly, maybe someone else can?

Hi, anyone can explain my how to create simple dungeon? I want to use unused object, and when i visit it to fight in custom battlefield (custom position of troops and obstacles, but i'll manage this part by myself i hope). Little help for the push then i'll get it by myself hopefully
Thanks in advance

I don't understand where is the new problem. For triggering a battle when visiting a location, use !?OB and !!HE:T triggers. Then use
!?BA0&v998=x/v999=y/v1000=z; where xyz are location coordinates in editor.
Just open erm help and take a nap.

The problem is i never done this before. I don't know where to put those triggers. What file i should open and add it. I just want to make a simple custom battle when i visit an object for testing purposes.
And btw, didn't earlier versions of wog map editor have custom pick for "visiting square" for ur hero when u use advanced properties for any object? My current version have it, but all i see is blank pic where i can't change visiting square.

Because you have old Era version. Download 2.4 from Era thread, it patched the editor.
About help, there is a difference between erm help and erm babysitting. I suggest you to play some wog maps, then look how scripts are done and where are they placed, then test yourself easy features, as visiting an object, trigger a message, a battle etc. Then post your scripts and get feedback.

Thx, Era 2.4 fixed that issue. Well, here's my "script". All i want is to initiate battle against 10 crusaders on battlefield when i visit 2,2 object on surface for testing purposes not for real scripting, that's why i asked for a short script.
