ToH- what is it?
Hello. For all the ToH players who don't go to the Tavern, my name is Milena and I belong to the HAA.
The ToH tournament had my attention... please, can you explain what it is like, how do you enter it, about the clan wars and the maps. Plus, I wonder if I can join somehow. I'm a mediocre player. :-(
Tnx.

I'm a a recruit of ToH myself, but I already know some things.
1)Register - in the ToH site press on the register button, fill in all the info, and... that's all. (pretty simple)
2)Maps - you can download them from the ToH site. I played only one, so I can't really tell how are all of them, but I have heard that one of the best ToH mapmakers is JB (there is a number there but I don't know what it is)
3)Clans - the clans cam have up to 5 members, from which one is the leader. There are 10 philosofies, 4, or 5, clans at each. Each philosofy has it's bonuses. To join a clan you must have at least 4 games (not to be a recruit). I can't really tell about clan wars, because I'm not in one, and have no idea how are these games done.

Hehe I got 2 firewalls One allows heroes to work while it stays on, and the other one has to be shut off before I start playing. if it is not shut off people drop day1
Yep sign up where Slava said then go here to find people to play http://zone.msn.com/heroes/ There can be as many as 125 people in on the weekends!!
I suggest looking around the ToH page. People with Honor Medals are great fun to play Also check out the subtournments.

:Tristan's ears perk up!:
Do I smell the possibility of actually getting a win?
You have to be a footman (4 games logged) to enter any subtournaments.
Hey! that means I only need one more loss! Yippee!

How about the clan wars?
How are the tournaments arranged? Why didn't I see some of the people I know engaged in clans (eg Zud)?

Zud
Is the leader of the "Dead Tossers" in the Nercoma philo.
Clan Wars: are made by the leaders of clans. Basically you just challenge another clan, setup matches, map, bonuses, rules, etc. The leaders hammer out all the details, so when joining a clan you should know your clan leader and what maps he/she will be forcing you to play.
The more active clans have homepages you can visit to see what wars they are in.
Heres my Clan's homepage. I made it by myself, thats why it suxs so much
http://jexrules.tripod.com/WWClanPage.htm We have finished 4.5 clan wars, and are currently in 5 wars.

I don't really know all of the things, so I'll ask a Q here.
Can there be games with more than two players? How do they work? Are they only a part of clan wars?
thx.

I was really hoping someone would answer this, as I have wondered as well. I have not been able to find any info on this anywhere. Anybody?

well yes u can play games in more then 2 players.
It doesnt mater if the game is for regular toh or clan or even fun
if u wanna launch game on zone then u must have the room set for more then 2 players ( u can set it for maxi 4 players). When all players are in the room then the host launch the game and if all goes well then all the players will meet in the game. If u wanna play a rand map then the host genarate the map but if u wanna play a toh map then the host must have a 2o2 map or a 3way map.
I think i sayed all.
GL with ur gaming and have lots of fun

Actually, I was wondering more about reporting for TOH, or is TOH only for 1 vs 1 matches and subtournaments?

You can play 2vs2 or 3ffa for TOH too, the most common way for playing 2vs2 for TOH is that u decide who reports win/loss to who.
For example: Team A (player1&player2) plays vs Team B (player3&player4)in a TOH game. And before/during/after the game they agree that player1 and player3 reports and p2&p4. So lets say that Team A wins. Then player1 report a win against player3, player3 reports a loss to player1. And player2 reports a win against player4, player4 for reports a loss to player2.
I hope that helps
Happy new year to all of u!

As I have heard, if a game has 3 players, then the winner reports 2 wins, and each looser reports his loss to the winner. Is that right ?

I think you report a win over whoever you eliminate, and a loss to whoever eliminates you. so if A beats B, but is taken out by C we have: A vs B with A winner, and C vs A with C winner.
But of course, you could decide however you wanted to do it before the game started too.

3 player game
1st place reports win against 3rd place, 3rd place reports loss against 1st place.
2nd place does not report at all.
