“Cool,” Jeremy piped up. “When do we leave?” Harriet was stashed in her case for the moment (as the elder had scolded him to put her away before they started), and his fingers were itching to get her out again.

Derek listened intently to the elders words. Adventure was iminent but where would they start... He pondered this for some time before deciding to take out Skard and play with him.

'Is she kidding me?' Steve thought to himself. He had a feeling this person was going to be more trouble than he cared for. He enjoyed the ride, putting it out of his mind after that, though.
After landing he listened to the elder. After which, he got ready for the journey ahead. This would likely be a journey he could write several books about.

At long last things were set and the group finally starts their journey. The Elder calls for a boat, or two, and lets the group know that the captain will take them to anywhere they wish to go. He suggests a few towns to start out with, and leaves you with some parting words. "I would advise getting much stronger before getting too far ahead of yourself. Though time is of the essence, haste is not your ally."
Everybody is wished a fond farewell by everybody from the island that is not going. As the boats are pulling away, there is a frantic voice heard. "Wait! Wait for us! Amber, hurry the boat is leaving!" it is the mysterious boy with the Houndour, and he is running along the dock waving his arms.
"Max! Which way is the boat! Max! You are forgetting me, where are you!" replies a frantic female voice. She is being led by a growlithe with a odd harness on it, and doesn't look like she is going to make it. Max makes it on board and calls for the captain to stop, but Amber is already at the end of the dock. At the last second she and her growlithe are lifted up by an unseen force, and settled safely onto the deck of the ship.
Sprite, who had helped the girl to the ship, follows for a little, enjoying the splash from the ship, but soon grows bored and veers off.
The boatride is long ((you may talk with each other, maybe have some practice battles, whatever..or just enjoy the ride))..but eventually you reach Pewter ((those who are going that way)). Nobody is there to greet you, and the town looks like it is all locked up. Several individuals with a I on their outfits seem to be scouring the area looking for something.
Violet City -
On the boat to Violet City, the group sees dark clouds over the town. As they get closer and closer to the town, it starts raining harder and harder. They manage to make it to the dock, barely, and now the wind and rain are near hurricane speeds. Everybody is ducking inside houses, and the sky is getting darker. It seems the 'eye' is right over the gym.

Jeremy's first action upon their arrival in Violet City was to leap off the boat, check the scene behind him to ensure Harriet would have a good view of the city, and start filming.
(On their way in, Cubone had determinedly tugged on his pant-leg when the first rain began to fall, and had kept on doing so until Jeremy called her back--thanks to some of the others on the ship, he'd finally figured out the Pokedex well enough to find out she was female.)
"This is Jeremy Williams, reporting live from Violet City, Johto, where a freak storm has engulfed the city." Jeremy ducked out of view of Harriet's lense briefly to record a sweeping shot of the storm-washed city, complete with tree-bending wind, murky rivers of rainwater flowing into the storm sewers, and the eerie storm eye positioned directly over the Violet City Gym. The rain was so heavy he had to take a moment to wipe off Harriet's lense beforehand.
"As you can see, the city is experiencing exceptional amounts of rain and wind. Power outages and flooding are expected throughout the city. We will keep you updated as the story unfolds."
Hair and clothes now throughly soaked and plastered to his skin by the aforementioned rain and wind, Jeremy quickly capped Harriet and made a dash for the nearest building.

Steve spent the majority of the trip to Violet city in the driest place he could find, writing about his recent troubles, obtaining a Meowth, and the flight with Sprite. Soon, however, the waves became too much.
Steve went up as they neared Violet City, and took in the view of the storm. He began to question his desires for any part of this. He knew it would be good material to write about, but what would be the cost?
Steve saw Jeremy filming not long after, reporting what was going on. They had reached the city right about then. Then, Jeremy went dashing off. Having nowhere else better to go, Steve went darting off as well, trying to follow close behind Jeremy.

Max looks over Pewter city and growls. "Team Infinitus, what are they doing here?!"
Amber grins. "Why don't we go find out brother?"
"Lets. We have two pokemon that can use fire attacks, their pokemon that don't seem to want to faint don't scare me!" replies Max.
Both get off the boat and are almost immediately blocked by two goons. "Pewter city is closed. Keep on the boat and stop at the next stop."
Amber's growlithe growls. "You tell him. We are going into town. You want to stop us, just try."
The two goons call out a piplup and a bayleaf. Neither look infected.
"Water and grass huh? This will be interesting."

Inside what turns out to be a pokemart the Violet city group finds a few people waiting out the rain. One of which is a little girl holding a snorlax doll. Clutched in the toy's hands is what looks like to be a miniture egg. The storm shows no sign of letting up and the water is begining to rise on the streets outside. Something tells you this is no ordinary storm.

Looking outside, through a window, Steve sees a bright flash of light, forcing him to quickly look away. In doing so, he looks at the street below, noticing the water rising. He looks to the others in the room.
"The streets are flooding. Soon, the water may burst through here. The rooftops may be the best place to go. Perhaps of taller buildings, if you can make it."
Noticing the little girl, Steve wanders over to her, kneeling down.
"Are your parents nearby?"

As Steve kneels down the tiny egg reacts to the nearness of the Pokedex and starts glowing. The girl whispers "They got stuck in the lelivator." must have happened when the power went out. Outside something sounding like a animal shriek is heard above the sound of thunder and rain. The girl cringes and holds the doll closer.

Steve sees the egg glow, and recalls what the elder had said. However, the little girl's safety, and re-uniting her with her parents was of more concern at this very moment.
"Come, let's see which floor they got stuck on. Maybe we can force the doors open, and get them out of there."
Steve takes the girl by the hand, and leads her to the elevator, looking to which floor they had stopped.((assuming this isn't a digital display. Otherwise, he may need to open up the doors of the floor he's on, and look inside to see.)) Once he figures this out, he leads the girl up to the floor, and attempts to get the parents out.

Yari really got nothing to do on the boat, and went with the remaining people to Pewter City famus for its rocks, and well the rocks in the museum. She had also looked up Abra in the pokedex during the everlong boat trip, it was male and it had 1 ability at the moment: Teleport. So she needed a tag-partner for a while, well atleast now she could get lost in the forst and still get back to the closest village/city.
And it did not have a single pillow factory in town, atleast not in the public guide going by the name "Few days in Pewter, the enjoyment of the rocks". It was quite cheap too, and well a tour guide could help a little. It was actually quited dated, but hopefully the city map was about correct.
The 2 goons blocking was boring, she asked the geezer the simpel question: "My Abra got teleport, shall we just blink past em?". She did not want to ask the geezer anyway, but he was the only one in the party still left on the boat, since Max and Amber already had rushed down to beat the crap out of a few goons.

While on the boat, Thor had taken it easy and let his munchlax run around and do whatever it wanted. Thor had chosen to go to Pewter, thou he did not know why, he just decided that he go wherever fate led him. Only thing he had figured was that the Munchlax was female.
A young woman had came to him and asked
"My Abra got teleport, shall we just blink past em?".
Thor looked up at the woman((he is sitting)) and then burst into laugh before he replied "Teleport past them? Sure why not, it's better than fighting your way through them. You don't use a beak made out of glass on a wall made out of stone when you have wings to fly over it" Thor replied.

Yari called out Abra of a pokeball: "Abra use teleport! Get us a a bit past those goons!", while thinking about rule 33 of pokemon battles: "No interupting started battles, thats violating the law!".

Jeremy meanwhile had called Cubone back out and was pestering the other people trapped in the Pokemart.
“Is this normal weather for this time of year?” “When did this start?” “Where were you when the storm began?”
He had put a fresh tape in Harriet on the trip over and was eager to put another story on it, in spite of the fact that his only light sources were the bolts of lightning from the storm and a few lanterns someone had broken out when the power vanished. He estimated he had a couple of good story angles when he heard the shriek.
Tentatively—for he was not the bravest of souls, even if he wasn’t presently willing to pass up an opportunity for a story—he made his way back to the door. It rattled menacingly in a gust of wind, and he almost thought better of it. But with a gulp, he poked his head out the door and peered out into the storm through Harriet’s lense, gripping the camcorder tightly for courage.

Derek got off the boat. Rain was beating down upon his head while baltoy refused to leave the safety of the boat. Derek recalled him... Seeing the gym within the eye Derek dashed over to it. some break from bad days.

Steve finds the girl's parents trapped between floor 2 and 3. However, without power it seems impossible to free them. The doors are closed pretty tight, and it would require tools he doesn't have, or even know where to find. If the power could somehow be restored they would be out in minutes.
Derek enters the Gym just in time to see a battle going on. A small black round sphere is going against several other pokemon, and it seems to be more then a match for them. Whenever one of the other pokemon launches an attack it just seems to be absorbed by the creature. However, one pokemon uses the move Flash, and for a bit the sphere is unable to absorb the attacks. Still looks like it is going to take more then the pokemon currently there to take it down.
Yari and Thor easily make it past the current battle, but of course other of Team Infinitus see them and start closing in. The whole town is full of these goons..wonder what it is they are looking for.
As Jeremy zoomed in the lens he noticed a large dark feline creature sitting on the roof of the Gym. It seems to be the focal point of the storm. The feline is odd, and seems to absorb all the light around it, and what looks like stars can be seen in it's fur. Violet eyes seem to see Jeremy, and the creature lets loose another shreik. The feeling of pure evil radiates from it, and the storm is just getting worse.

"Too tough to budge... Well, let's go find us some power."
Steve starts his search for some way to get power to the elevator. Whether he has to flip a fuse box, or start up a backup generator. Or even something else he's unsure of.

Steve finds a backup generator (most businesses have one at least) and manages to get it running. As soon as power is restored the elevator kicks on and moves to the second floor. The little girl's parents are able to get out, and there is a happy family reunion. By this time, the water is already coming in on the first floor.

Steve checks the stairs, noticing the floor below is flooded. He rushes back to the others.
"We need to get higher up. The floor below is flooded, and there's no telling how high it will get."
Steve gives the elevator a quick glance.
"Might I recommend we take the stairs?"

The little girl raises the doll to her ear. "Snorry says that the water won't stop. That it will just keep coming." she seems rather certain of this.
Her parents agree that getting to higher ground is a good idea. "Yes, the stairs would be the way to go. No telling when the elevator will go out again." They pick up the girl and start heading upstairs.
Meanwhile

The fight with the twins and the goons is nearing it's end. However, more of Team Infinitus are getting near. "Sister dear, I think we need to wrap this up NOW and beat a hasty retreat."
"Poor Growlithe, I can feel he is tired and hurt. I think you are right brother. Shall we?"
"Right. On it." he has his pokemon aim for the water, which causes steam to rise, obscuring vision. By the time it clears he and his sister are long gone, and two of the goons now have unconscious pokemon.
