I agree with william. You didn't handle the situation well at all, DarkCrystal.
If you had truly cared about this person, you wouldn't have treated her like that, no matter what she did to you. So, I can only conclude that you didn't really care about her, and therefore, if you really are honest with yourself, you'll realize you haven't actually lost anything, except the potential for a good, lifelong friend. I suspect you'll realize this eventually.
[Of course, it's not too late to do the right thing, apologize, and part in an amicable way.]

What!? You want me to apologize!? When it was her fault? If she really care about me, then she wouldn't leave me. And actually I gave her what she deserved. And if you think that I was too brutal, then it's my character. I can't take bloody insults easily. And I especially hate when somebody betrays me.
Anyway I'm glad that I have finally seen her true face. It's not time for me to aim on one person, I understood that. I'll find a new real GF when the time will come. But now I will live as I wish.

Sometimes a gentleman apologizes even if he believes he did nothing wrong. What you said, no matter how justified, was wrong. You deliberately tried to be nasty because she hurt you, but two wrongs don't make a right. Sometimes you have to put your neck on the line and be the first to try to make things right, because if nobody does, you can be sure than NOTHING will become right. Sure, she might not reciprocate, but what have you lost in that case? A little damage to your ego? If pride is what's holding you back, then I think that itself should tell you that the way you are acting is childish and unbefitting a gentleman.
The alternative is that you do nothing, and then there's no chance of any relationship, even a cordial one. You spend the rest of your high school years awkwardly avoiding each other. Or it could fester into something much worse.
If a relationship wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be. Most of them aren't. If she doesn't want to be with you, then that's that. You can't do anything about it. Pissing and moaning and being cruel to her isn't going to change that, and it will only make you more likely to continue that behavior later on. The proper thing to do when someone ends a relationship is to try to make the most of a bad situation, and be the bigger person even if you're hurting inside. If you cared about her, which you claim, then you owe it to her to treat her with respect and kindness, even if she doesn't return the favor. If you're lucky, you WILL eventually become friends again, and having friends is always better than having enemies. You'll make enough enemies in your life despite your best intentions; there's no reason to go out of your way to make more just because you're too proud to say "I'm sorry you don't love me anymore; I can't be friends now because I'm hurting too much, but in the future, I hope we can be friends because I really enjoy your company."
In any case, you asked for opinions about what you should do, and I've rendered mine. If you put any stock in experience, maybe you should at least give what I'm telling you some thought. I'm twice as old as you and have been through a lot more of life's ruthless gauntlet than you have. Maybe, just maybe, I might have learned a thing or two along they way. Your choice, of course. But I wish I had heeded more advice from people older than me when I was as young as you are - and even well into my 20s.

That's all is ofcourse nobly, but it doesn't apply to me in some cases.
I'm not moaning or something. I admit I was hurted and it made me more cold, but still, it seems that she is acting like she didn't think about results. I don't care what would happen, if she would stay with him then let she be happy, if she decide to return, I will not piss her off. But her action was one of the most mean events I have seen in my life. OK, I admit that she may have her feeling and she want to be with another. But desrtoying relations so fast way is not good way. Yes, I know that you would say that she offered me to still be her friend, so it was not a fast action. But hiw do you want me to act after that!? Especially with my character. Perhaps if she would make it more slowly it would end more peacefully. Anyway, you want to hear it? I forgive her.

16 you say? Than it's definitely as I said. You were like 14 years old when you met! That means you were really pretty much children back then. Responsible approach to relationship at that age is possible, but rare. It would be a folly to expect it.
So it's pretty much natural what has happened. Don't worry and carry on.

You are seeing only one side. If you found yourself in love with another to the point you could not maintain your relationship would you rather remain torn and miserable? And more importantly would you want your significant other to be ok with that? Not saying you should be a saint but just think from her side.

OK, finally I'm free from this feeling. Her action woke up my evil side and it burned all love towards her in my dark soul. Now I don't feel love towards her at all. So now I don't feel hurted. So I guess I can not care about her and we can continue being just friends.
I finally decided to not to bond myself with woman at least untill I grow up. I'm sure that one day I'll find a real woman of my dreams, but when and where would it happen? Who knows how would fate 'smile' at me in the future.
