Necropolis
Tier 1: Skeleton Warrior
The basic infantry of the Dead armies, Skeleton Warriors are used as the biggest distraction that an enemy army could have: Hordes of battle-ready horrors about to overwhelm everything in its path. Skeleton Warriors are not the most proficient in combat, but are cheap, easy to raise, and have the memories of their former living selves when they were actual fighters who usually become the thing they dies fighting.
Upgrade: Skeleton Archer
Skeleton Archers are used much more than just cannon fodder or heavy distractions. They let loose volleys of black arrows at their enemies, usually taking down many at a time. However, their equipment is not top of the line, so the arrows don't pierce as well as they could.
Alternate: Skeleton Soldier
Skeleton Soldiers are the more offensive based pawns of the necromancers. They are still cheap, but are now equipped with deadly battle axes that tend to cleave through enemy ranks with ease, but though more dangerous, they are still very frail.
Tier 2: Walking Dead
Walking Dead are the typical meatbags seen terrorizing small villages and storming strong castles. They attack similarly to Skeleton Warriors, but are 3 times tougher, yet slightly more expensive.
Upgrade:Zombie
Zombies are usually confused with their lesser brethren, the Walking Dead. However, Zombies are much tougher, much more violent and carries diseases of all kinds. Other than that, they are pretty similar to Walking Dead.
Alternate: Ghoul
These guys are quite different from Walking Dead or Zombies. Ghouls have lost their more defensive capabilities for a very fast and vicious attacking power. Not only can they run faster and farther, but can also feast on the corpses of those they killed. Unlike Vampire though, they only regenerate their basic health, not revive.
Tier 3: Specter
Though most people think Specters to be ghosts, they couldn't be more wrong. Ghosts are dead spirits that are still tied to the mortal realm, Specters are souls that were ripped out of the spirit world to serve the Necromancers' biddings. They are then forced into a skeletal body, unlike normal undead skeletons who are completely empty and hollow, with some lasting remnant of humanity, but a lost spirit in all. Specters are typically seen wielding large pikes, which in turn are used against enemy horsemen.
Upgrade: Deathguard
The best Specters are inducted into the elite Deathguards, who are the bodyguards of Necromancers. Like normal Specters, Deathguards are used typically against Cavalry units, but do extraordinarily well against other kinds of units as well.
Alternate: Spectral Sniper
Some Specters are granted the used of highly powerful crossbows, and that has led to them dealing 100% damage all of the time, even at long ranges.
Tier 4: Vampire
Many undead have crossed the barrier from life to death in ways other than being raised by Necromancers or other sorcerers. Some of them become Vampires from other Vampires. Vampires drain the life from all living beings and therefore resurrect themselves. This makes these fast, hard hitting undead even more powerful.
Upgrade: Vampire Lord
The most powerful of the Vampires become Vampire Lords. They can now fly over to their destination with their batlike wings. Also, they are so fast and powerful, that they do not let their enemies retaliate.
Alternate: Vampire Prince
Vampire Princes are the aristocratic elite of the Vampire caste. Though Vampire Lords are the leaders of the Vampire armies, Vampire Princes control the more internal affairs and inner conflicts. Not only that, but they also posses the ability to put their enemies in a torpor with their eyes.
Tier 5: Skeletal Horseman
Skeletal Horsemen are the raised spirits of battle hardened veterans, forced against their will to conquer and kill for those they sought to kill in life. They wield dangerous pikes and unlike normal horsemen, they are actually effective against pikemen, evening the odds, because of their strong skeletal frame.
Upgrade: Bone Knight
Bone Knights are the more regal and powerful version of Skeletal Horsemen. The Bone Knights have more armor, and are armed with long lances, making them especially effective against other cavalry units. This, along with with their full body armor and their efficiency at dealing with pikemen makes the Bone Knights some of the most feared cavalry soldiers upon the battlefield.
Grim Horseman
Grim Horsemen are the embodiments of death, wielding cruel scythes and riding fast skeletal horses. Though they have lost their effectiveness against pikemen, they are much faster and much more vicious, usually hitting multiple enemies at once.
Tier 6: Liche
Liches are the undead sorcerers of the Necromancers' armies. They use powerful dark magic spells to weaken their enemies or deadly magical attacks to destroy them.
Upgrade: Archliche
Archliches are the Liches that have delved into deeper and darker magics, making them much more effective on the field of battle. Now their attacks produce a smog that is deadly to all living beings.
Alternate: Lichelord
Lichelords are the battle mages of the Necromancers' armies. Their attacks are twice as deadly, and their spells make their enemies feel more sorrowful and vulnerable.
Tier 7: Dark Rider
Dark Riders are some of the most powerful warriors that the Necromancers employ. Not only are their cursing attacks powerful, they also have the ability to raise some of their defeated comrades. Putting this next to their amazing speed and offensive capabilities, they are some of the most powerful warriors in a battlefield.
Upgrade: Dread Knight
Dread Knights are the perfect masters of fear, usually capitalizing on the weaknesses of their opponents by letting out a howl of terror, which shatters the morale of their enemies. That along with their cursing attack, and power to reanimate the dead, makes these Dread Knights some of the most feared forces ever.
Alternate: Fallen Paladin
Fallen Paladins are the trapped spirits of holy knights. Although, no longer wielding the power of resurrection. Fallen Paladins can bless his comrades with powerful light magic and turn light magic that was intended for their opponents into dark magic spells. Also, they deal double damage to Paladins and their like.

I may make one faction, but necropolis was one of the easiest to do (with haven maybe)
you don't have the same lego skeletons as me. not the same weapons as well. Is it because my legos are old?

yes, well, see Death Knights were undead, but were not actually in the Necropolis faction in Homm5. Therefore, I am still within bounds, though I am toeing the line.

Ah, but Black Knights were in Necro in III (only at level 6, but that counts if you consider I and II only had 6 tiers, and IV only had 4).
