Quote: I have. Everything you said is true, is in his biography. Superman could have been any of those things. But he isn't. Those part of his character are never explored; we never see him struggling with his choices. That's what differentiates main character from minor character: choice. It is apparent that he made choices, but we don't see them, and so they don't really exist, from a literary standpoint. It's tragic really; they had a high-potential character on their hands but they chose to ignore him and develop the action scenes instead.
Actually all those motifs have been explored in the comics, but you are right: Supes is usually reduced to an action hero. That's often the case with pop culture - one of the twelve labors of Hercules was to clean a lot of dung...

Yes, that's the only Joker that was worth it in the movies!
Yes, Nightcrawler is awesome in X2, and I think the only one who comes close to their character is Mystique.

If we are actually talking about the best one, then Spot beats all, even Magento ("telekinesis" guy, with correct physics ) and Superman (he can just teleport him in the Sun or Black Hole or something).

Oh, please, Heath's Joker had a more satisfying end-fight
But personally, I found both to be very awesome, so I'm going to take this one lying down

Ah yes, the leader of the Legion of Losers! I remember I was really upset first time he appeared and beat Spidey. Oh c'mon, I was 7 or 8 at the time. LOL

I guess it takes one to know one, huh? Actually when I am alone at home and submit to my delusions of grandeur, I prefer putting on my Galactus costume with the cardboard helmet and devouring worlds leftovers.
Hm... What would HC look like superhero style?
I got five:
The_Gootch - Old Man Logan rips apart his enemies LOL
Pandora - an Amazon in the man's world - with a sword and the lasso of truth
Elvin - The fastest poster alive!
Lexxan - "Flame on!"
Asheera - the assassin extraordinaire:
EDIT: Dammit, missed the obvious one:
(That's Dagoth of course; the Jack Nicholson version would be Jolly Joker )
P.S. Xerox, sorry for hijacking the thread!

@Vlaad: All of that comic book knowledge, but you don't know who Captain Planet is?
It was a big cartoon show made in the 80s. I was actually thought it was really cool:
