ANNO 1404: Dawn of Discovery instead of HOMM6?
Yeah, you read the topic right!
Ubisoft revived this old franchise of ANNO + whatever year to give us a glimpse at how they can do a Civilization: Colonization type game as well.
No military conflicts until the whole settlement is large enough to finance such a thing as barracks and other military establishments.
City protection consists of archery towers. Mainly. It has the HoMM2 approach when it comes to protective walls. No Fort + No Citadel + No Castle outer main kingdom levelling type development of military presence of the only imperial city. Only one Great Wall of China type of defensive wall for the entire colonial city. It seems to be the same for the main imperial city(your King s kingdom-like city).
You start off with a cargo ship with minimum cannons onto it and, the base resources you need to build the very first settlement warehouse sawmills, markets for the village people(peasants mostly).
I played the tutorial and, started onto the Campaign of about 4 Chapters to it. Finished the first one quite easily(at easy level of course). It is a quite hard interface to get the hang of it.
Yes, I did download it from Fileplanet.com. It is its own, first official Demo game release. It is a whopping 1.6 Gigabyte in size. Obviously, Cable broadband is, quite a recommended requirement.
It is already rated Everyone-10+. Why can HoMM6 not be made in the same format without the huge economic approach such as in ANNO 1404?

Never mind ANNO 1404. Reason: Lost interest into it already.
And, go check out Stardock's line-up of awesome PC games at StardockEntertainment.com.
It turns out, that, Galactic Civilization II has been re-released as GalCivII-Ultimate in January of 2009(this year). Plus, they are the developers of Elemental-War of Magic. EWoM is scheduled for official web release on the 15th of February-2010(in merely 8 months from now) onto Stardock's online store browser called: Impulse.
Impulse also sells HoMM5:T.o.T.E. for 20$+taxes. For a Fall of 2007's game, it is still, quite popular. It still has two lightning bolts for it.
