Real DOS is the best but only if you have a poor PC lying around that has an old Soundblaster card in it and all the other crap that old computers used to have. It's best to use emulation software I think.
No what I meant was to have a real DOS as a disk image. If you have an old DOS harddisk or floppy, make a disk image from it and store it as a file on your current (big) hard drive, and you can forget about it. Then use the image as the 'virtual harddrive' in the emulator and boot from it.

Or download FreeDOS.

If you had an old DOS on a hardisk then couldn't you boot DOS up from that one by loading that hard drive first in the boot sequence? I apologise for getting off topic though.

I'll get back on topic now.

Has anybody mentioned Warcraft 2? Now that has some pretty awesome music on it.

To answer your question, yes but that would be old hardware. Old hardware is doomed to fail at some point (old doesn't mean in performance, but in "aging").

Yes, I have to agree with you on that one. I personally like having the old hardware just for the nostalgia feel of it all.

That's not "epic" at all. Just catchy.

But then again there are people who say Black Metal is epic.

I dunno if I would say that's the best music in Jazz Jackrabbit. I was playing it the other day and the first level of the last episode (the turtle titled one I think) has some pretty cool music imo.

the legendary theme of aoe1

aoe2 doesnt have that theme, but dont worry i replaced my aoe2theme by iron maiden(run to the hills and the trooper) and manowar(fighting the world & hail and kill)
