An interesting Gallup Poll has come out (about Palin):
Clicky
A new USA Today/Gallup poll conducted Monday night finds a core of 19% of U.S. voters who say they are "very likely" to vote for her should she run, and an additional 24% who are somewhat likely to do so, giving her a decent reservoir of potential support to build upon. However, nearly as many voters (41%) currently say they would be not at all likely to vote for her.

Of course, because of Corribus's Golden Rule*, you should take all polls with a grain of salt.
* Corribus's Golden Rule: 95% of people are idiots

Sturgeon was wrong - it's 95%, not %90, and Corribus's Golden Rule applies to people, not everything. And given that I'm clearly not an idiot, that means your prospects aren't looking very good.

Hmm well personally I would use an old movie quote (paraphrased). "A person is a intelligent and rational. People are paniky idiots who run around like chickens with their heads cut off."

Not to beat a dead horse, but to further display the #1 problem with Sarah Palin: she simply doesn't know what she's doing:

Even if you do agree with her platform 100%, I think it's irresponsible to vote for her as opposed to somebody else that more or less shares her views, but knows what they're doing. The mentality that "the right ideas and a strong spirit is all you need" that has gripped America (obviously with both major parties, considering the democrats nominated the poorly qualified Barack Obama, largely due to his hollow showmanship) is abundantly alarming. Sure, sticking to your principles is invaluable, but you still need to be adept at what you do if you plan on effectively administrating. A basketball player might have all the spirit in the world, but if they can't dribble, they're not going to do much good on the team.

I don't feel like defending Palin. She's been battered enough...
She did it herself... It's quite sad really...

I do pity her. She was an unimportant governor in Alaska, pretty well isolated from the major public spotlight. But she is young, attractive, and most importantly, a female, so McCain grabbed her for his VP to attract attention, appear hip and modern, and ultimately draw in votes. It failed, and now Palin is publicly mocked.

Also, she needs speaking classes, just three or so to control her breathing and a calm pose and...
Damn, it's easy to attack her. Anyway, it IS sad... Sad panda wants to cry...

Agreed 100%. Nay, 1000%.
What this country needs is a few people in government who know ANYTHING AT ALL about how to properly run a business.

The problem with government is that the people who would be great in it, are smart enough to stay out of it.
