Our thread is going to remain Team 4, for the statement we shall not yield to nonconformists. Actually, I'll let alc know when we have a new name...
So we should have a rundown of the schedule for competition. As a senior competitor (Berny's not the only one with an ego), its been my experience that deadline's never keep.

I hope some team will complete this project
Here are some suggestions:
* Do not create a new universe! Its a HUGE amount of additional work.
* Try to come up with something new. One dimensional demons wanting nothing to destroy the world isnt very orginal... Demons dont always have to be the main enemy.
* Dont make lots of complicated game mechanics. It takes lots of time and just turns out to be weird most of the times.
* Respect each others opinions Like the River/Lake/Sea Elf debate in one of the teams. Since everybody seems to have different opinions there then just name them Nymphs or Naiads. You dont need to have five different factions of Elves.

We want another universee, so we'll do one
five elven factions is fine for me, it just comes to 'bout 13 factions then^^ And i LOOOOVE complicated game mechanics XD
Xerdux, if you were in and we on a team we would destroy each other, I guess
EDIT:
For our team, I've created an extern forum for discussion, that's better so we can create seperated threads for all our different discussions and don'T fill one so much we won't see through anything. Also, our Homm& will be a (bad) surprise for all of you here Of course, we will probably send updates from tiem to time, when the thign has begun to take form
I advice you to do the same, it's much easier, I think, than staying in one thread her ein the HC.

I am working with someone who is impossible to work with, who doesn't want to try anything interesting or original and just wants to remake heroes 3 all over again.
more importantly, i don't care whether he is joking or not about his ego, but his un-cooperative methods and refusal to listen to others ideas is intolerable.
I won't quit the competition, just give me a team on my own, and I'll continue on from there.

Bixie, if the person in question proposes stuff you really dislike, then why don't you make a counter-proposal? I'm pretty sure you can reach an consencus, with you being very creative and original, and him being Nostalgic and Traditional.
That's what this contest is about: How to co-operate with others, you'd normally not co-operate with. It's a learning school on it's own.

Lexxan is quite right...you guys should try to work together, that's what this is about!
Tell your teammate in question directly to the face what you think (if you haven't done allready). If that doesn't work...we'll see. If absolutely necessary, it could be possible to handle such things out of the teams, but I do NOT want it.

Now, bix, I know being chastised about saying he's impossible is not what you neeed. You need to not be told what to do right, but to be asked to give him another chance. He's willing to compromise.
And Berny, please try to be a wee bit open-minded in the future, no matter how open you may be. This is a team effort.
Btw, 13 factions is a bit much. Keep the workload in mind. Don't stretch too far. Get a few races you know will work, a few maybes, and then some bonuses if you can make it. Don't forget about mechanics, and things besides factions, like buildings and maybe a lore lesson!
