Quote: like with the examples you put down, those had to do with definite real life situations whereas WOW lore is something that isn't enforced or taught to you like other things. It is something you have to make an effort to learn, whether looking it up on wikipedia, playing the games, or reading the books.
Hmm... I don't see the difference.
If Xerox had devoted a little bit of his time in trying to understand the situation of others, he wouldn't have said those things. If I wouldn't have spent some time reflecting and discussing about immigration my opinion wouldn't have been what it is today. Just because it's a real life situation doesn't mean that you don't have to devote yourself a bit to try and understand it.
This is why it's so amazing that Xerox can put such strength and devotion into explaining stuff about WoW for us "ignorant" people. If someone says something bad about WoW, let's say the lore, he responds by writing a fricking essay about it with every little detail of the story described (in a reply to a person who has already stated that he/she finds the lore uninteresting...)
But when it comes to something much more sensitive, like discussing in a thread about immigration, he just shouts out his opinion without backing it up with any arguments, usually ignoring people who tries to argue with him.
That further adds to my theory that those opinions aren't really Xerox's, they are the opinions of others which he just accept as truth. For example, the phrase "but they said so in school" is something that I've heard from him a few times, or the infamous "my dad thinks XXX and so do I".
...
Oh, but you should never think you know something about people, cuz you're probably wrong. I do like analyzing people though.

What race did you play then?
Probably an Undead Warlock and then you got lost in Fenris Keep, Shadowfang Keep or Scarlet Monastery (because one time you said you got lost in some castle). Also you had a Succubus at level +20 ;P
Human: A nice storyline that lasts through the whole orginal World of Warcraft.
Dwarf and Gnome: Borrrring. The Titan stufff is interesting but I hate Troggs. Also the snowy starting zone is depressing.
Night Elf: Okey. But you never get to know the source of Teldrassils corruption. The story arc was never completed.
Draenei: I hate the starting zones. Bloodmyst looks horrible. It was okay and I liked the Furbolg quests.
Orc and Troll: I hate Durotar. The red rocky desert enviromnent is soooo boring. Plus the Burning Blade stuff didnt get past level 15.
Undead: Many people like Tirisfal but I hate it lol. Dark and boring and in 9 of 10 quests you end up mass killing either Zombies or Scarlet Crusaders. The WotLK forsaken quests are so much better with their evil plague stuff.
Tauren: The starting zone is to big and there is a lot running but a nice atmopshere. No larger plot then some Goblins and Dwarfs mining in the sacred land of Mulgore.
Blood Elf: A fast starting zone that I like pretty much. The most beautiful starting zone of them all. Also I love when Sylvanas finds the Windrunner Amulet in her old spire and sings Lament of the Highbourne.
1. Eversong Woods
2. Elwynn Forest
3. Teldrassil
4. Azuremyst
5. Mulgore
6. Durotar
7. Tirisfal
8. Dun Morogh
Also people must remeber that WoW is not an RPG game. Its an MMORPG. If Warcraft 3 was an MMO and looked like WoW then you might not have found it interesting either. Imaging playing as a Human Footman and in the first quest you save
Also the Cataclysm starting zones look amazing. The zones changes as the story progresses etc and you get to encounter creatures that you normally fight at level +40 at level 5.
btw patch 3.2.2 was released now so I must go and check new stuff up
there is a new quest/mini-event where the Highbourne return to Darnassus and seek to speak with Tyrande

What argument might you be possibly talking about? My good sir, I do believe I have stated, in a quite understandable manner, that it was just a comment.
I find it extremely difficult to relate in a proper fashion to the second part of your message since I do not comprehend the meaning of "MVG+++", thus, please do explain.

classic, true QP material.
anyways, I actually tend to be a Undead Discipline Priest. Why? Because Undead have the best spirit stats. Why Discipline? Because it is almost completely foolproof, and awesome.
Ya know, that isn't even the point. Okay, so who wants to join me on my lil experiment, and who doesn't?
