btw, in that link theres no minimaps, but some dtb and txt files......or I dont know what to do with them...which is probably the right "version"...I think I need some instructions

A few questions regarding the map
1. Are the lvl 6/7 military posts blocked on purpose (just to generate +growth in town), or will they open sometimes?
2. Is Mercenary camp modded to lvl 3-5 only? (including alternatives + regular upg.s)
3. Are there any fixed arties on map besides xp set?

edit: fcorse is good frau.. my first impression after 2-3 half games was 'this is nicely unbalanced map'
Not sure if great, certainly cant reach mm, but sure fun-worthy for several shots

Hi! Great map, I always enjoy your style of maps Insatiable.
After playing through boomerang (almost) to completion I noticed a few things. It may be faction specific, not sure. Important to note, I played map completely blind.
I started my game with Dungeon - Vashan, I was immediately delighted to find a light magic hut, so I snatched it, took the sphinx, and got myself to stormwind after that xp. This made early creeping with Vashan and his 85ish stalkers fairly easy. Creeping itself seemed easy enough, I had some druids, arcanes ect. That posed early trouble but nothing to bad.
However late game was when I really found a problem, no access to neither low level or high level spells, made my characters build almost impossible to break through garissons and other larger blocks. I have not played the map fully at this point, if there is an arcane library somewhere through the big garrison perhaps I will be able to find some magic I need. The pyramid and the Mage guild where useless to me, I know this is luck based. But I even had a haven as a second town and therefore I built my mage guild in there. With a light magic town I figured I would net myself some decent magic, not to be.
My hero build was pretty unorthodox for dungeon, but it worked very well, until I started to plan how to deal with garrison.
My hero looked like at lv25
Exp Irr, Exp Light (Wrath, stormwind, Twilight"forced choice") Exp Enlightenment(Eagle eye thingy), Exp Att(Battle Frenzy, Power of Speed, Retribution), Exp Leader(Recruitment, Aura of swiftness), Exp Luck(Soldiers Luck).
I was hoping for regen or rez somewhere along the line but it was not to be. Thankfully the eagle eye special got me righteous might from Shadow Witchs, and haste from a shaman I found in a camp, endurance somewhere along the line also.
Now I am faced with a save game on day 1 week 5 in which I am ready to clear through that big big gate, but I have no method of preserving or bringing troops back. I havn't lost any troops all game, so the garrison is going to be my major loss.
Having said that, I think that it might be that the map needs some small magic shrines, some lv1 shrines, lv2 shrines, and maybe one or two other ways to get your much needed high level spells prior to clearing garrison.
Other than the spell issue I encountered (and this is from 1 time playing map) I thought it was a very well planned out map, the flow from town to area clear, back to town and out again was well designed and seemed to be easy enough to plan. Monster level was good, always something challenging just around the corner, but not impossible.
Anyway great map, I look forward to playing through it online with someone!!
PS : From others experience, whats the approximate time line for garrison break?

it was a decision.. at first demo version i had spell shop as choice and few shrines, but got removed eventually
i dont think garisons are huge, maybe force you to take lots armies ON you to fight it, unless have vamp or reswhich is a life saver for any map. Also map provides high defence with many boosts around.
IF/WHEN map gets played several times(i personally did only 3) mebe a spellshop can be placed as choice, mebe nat... some choices are indeferent anyway- can be exhanged to somthing else..

The map is GREAT!
Few things id like to add though:
a) barbs are not that good to pick I think - need smth to be done about them.
b) may be second town in second area shouldnt be same, even if random, the same castle could occur, I mean a script that doesnt allowed it...(I dont know how can be done)
c) knights are in big trouble without intelligence and thats bad for them (cant break any gates at all, but with casualities) - there are things to be done about this, but ... u know, for balancing the situation

Nice map! Thx. My oppinion is that necro is too strong here, only barbarians can be at the same lvl (but it is ten times harder for them). Mb i'm wrong, played it just 2 times, but necro army is realy huge here.

balance is not an issue, this is a map not equilibris mod
_barbs, i thought they was weak too, till i got wiped out by firedragon. sure they less scary than other maps, which is good.
_necro, their armies is illusion anyway, and if gather-gather-gather from refugees etc, means it stall you from hitting middle sheit faster-er than opoonent
_haven, i sure they can have great training.. and yes seems they need intel. or somthing to kill those imp before they suck mana..
i think if one puts all pieces together, any hero-town can be nasty in this map.. but i guess that what differs the best from the rest huh

Yeah after a few more games with different factions, I think this map is equally unbalanced for all!
Which is fine. It just seems harder if you play only a couple factions, cause you will feel like you got f***kered.

actually. necro on mm ,if not first to middle, is 95% loss. even if first still is hard.. unless a player has mastered a certain town, in which case we talk of a strong player (e.g infinitus=sylvan, elit=academy etc)
Mebe vampirism is strong, but that is spell's fault not map's
ALSO. after gameV being almost 4 years out, i wouldnt expect from me to make a nice clean cut map, i wanted somthing nastier that provokes our usual balance in gameplay. thats why has extreme choices and possible joiners and rich middles..
..however, even if a plaeyr hasnt visited none of middle snow area, if prepared right for defence, he still has game

I agree 100%...
MasterMind is one of the most Balanced maps there is!! Even more balanced then my maps
Ofcourse, I do implement a few buddy rules that help to make it PERFECT.. like NO warpath etc..
