"Good!" said Enigma's Hand, "Follow me!"
They went down through the hall to a door, which was outlined in Enigma's Hand's mind by Enigma. "This way!" said Enigma.
Soon Enigma's Hand and the other IDP members and mercenaries came to the main reactor room that powered the station with a controlled anti-matter system.
Alex's eyes widened as he realized what the mechs were trying to do, "So that's how they're going to create the black hole..."
As they approached the reactor, looking for the bomb, three of the large scorpion bots came seemingly out of no where along with hordes of other bots.

By now Talix is back up, but he knows his forms are of little use against the big machines. "I'll tromp the little guys." he suggests helpfully.
About that time "Ben" in his altered form makes an appearence, but he doesn't say anything. He has a wild look in his eyes, like a animal. He says nothing but just begins to hack at the machines like a man possessed.
The twins look at each other. "Well sis, it's been fun."
"Yeah, see you on the other side."
"What about the third one?"
"They will have to handle it. We..will be otherwise occupied."
"If we make it back, don't forget you owe me a coke."
"Yeah..a super big one...."
Suddenly the two vanish from where they are standing onto the back of one of the big scorpians each. "Vae Victus our friends."
Both them and the creatures suddenly just disapear.

AS Enigma's Hand fought off many of the bots, Enigma said to his mind, "The twins have taken two scorpion bots to space along with them! Bring them back before they are lost to the void!"
"As you wish" responded Enigma's Hand as he teleported to where the twins where. They were almost dead, and were too weak to use their powers. Enigma's Hand quickly teleported them back to a space outside the reactor room where the battle was taking place. The twins were unconscious, and could not defend themselves as more mechs headed their way. Enigma's Hand knew it was his master's wish to protect them, what his purpose was, he didn't know. He only knew it was his duty to protect them...

Alex activated the psi-amp. Again, his body and a small area of the floor was covered by psionic frost. Electric charges were crackling around him. He sent forth his mental razors towards the remaining scorpion. It's shield was useless against this attack. He then raised his arm and pushed back the encroaching enemy. The static energy created by Alex was powerfull enough to fry their main CPU units. Alex kneeled. He raised and lowered his psi-amp for a powerfull psionic shockwave, eliminating every hostile presence, both biological and mechanical.
- All up to you now. Hurry!- Alex sent a mental message before fainting from complete exhaustion.

As Enigma's Hand finished with the last bot, he looked around quickly for the bomb...and then realized that it was within the reactor chamber, where the anti-matter components were contained...
"In there!" Enigma's Hand yelled out as he pointed at the bomb.
"How do I get it out of there?" thought Enigma's hand... "If I teleport in there, I will surely be torn apart by the anti matter substances...but how is that still intact? No matter..."
As Enigma's Hand was about to teleport inside to get the bomb, Enigma said to his mind, "Do not sacrifice yourself so needlessly. You are not required to touch someone to teleport them...use your mind my servant..."
Enigma's Hand then channeled his energies into the antimatter chamber and made the bomb disappear.
"Where'd it go?" said a young IDP member who watched as Enigma's Hand teleported it.
"Into space" replied Enigma's Hand.

Alex was lying in his bed at the station's medical sector. The base was retaken sucessfully, but Alex didn't knew the full details of what happened after he fainted. Now he was just taking pills, drinking tea and watching news.
- Now a special report from our reporter, Lisa Scott. Lisa?
- Thanks John. I'm standing near the ruins of Crussoe estate where a brutal attack was executed just few hours ago. The whole manor is destroyed by fire, and IDP confirmed that there are no survivors, except for the infamous G.R. operative Alexander Francis Crussoe, and Walter Wingate, the family's butler, who both were absent during the attack. Witnesses claim that the attackers were highly trained mercenaries of the Bloodhawk corps. This is Lisa Scott, live from Italy.
- In other news... - Alex smashed the holo visor with his mental razors. He got up, dressed and went to the hangar. Surprisingly, Udirah was waiting for him.
- Sense sorrow and anger in you I do. Happened what to you?
- Everything is destroyed. My family killed. Everyone is gone. Tell me, where are the Iron Wolwes?
- Departed yesterday they have.
- I see. Let's get to my training. We delayed it enough already.

... Baal was sitting in the big hall and drinking whisky with ice. He saw other galaxy rangers happy and talking about some everyday problems. Suddenly few creatures of unknown race bursted into hall through big round gothic windows and began a bloody massacre with rangers. Rangers felt dead one by one: Jorn, Alex, Geist... Baal tried to use his powers but none worked. One creature jumped closer to Baal and yelled: "You next!"
Then Baal woke up in a cold sweat
"Fuhh, it was just a dream, just a dream." - he ran out from the room where he slept and few minutes later he found Jorn in the training room.
"You know Jorn, I had a bad nightmare and now I'm a bit confused because some of dreams were prophetic." - and then Baal told the context of his dream
"Forget it, it's absurdity." - Jorn only replied.
"Thanks for understanding, haven't you seen Ben?" - Baal asked again.
"I think he'll find us."
"Good, then I'll meditate. If somebody asks for me, I'm in chapel."
and Baal went to renew his peace of mind.

Chapel
One of the twins is sitting meditating when Baal arrives. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell which is which unless they are standing (as one stands straighter then the other). Interestingly her method of meditation is..different. She is sitting on her tail, crossed legged, and her tail is actually holding her off the ground. Her skin is a bit .. pale from her near brush with death.

Alex flew around the doused remains of his home. The journalists were still swarming around them.
Alex landed the 'Nightwing' in the landing pad, near the path leading to now ruined manor. Alex and Udirah walked around the smoking remains.
- Sorry sir, it's not... Oh it's you sir. I am sorry, but there are no survivors. The attack was perfectly executed. Do you suspect anyone?
- Not yet. But when I do, they'll find out the true meaning of the word 'hell'.
- Oh, crap, here comes that reporter again.- The IDP officer departed quickly.
- Mister Crussoe! Mister Crussoe! A few words please!
Alex shot the camera and aimed at the journalist.
- Say anything else and the next one will be you missy. Now get lost!
Alex turned around and returned to his ship.

Enigma's Hand was also in the chapel meditating...well...rather having a conversation with his master.
"I do not understand master, there were no utopians, rutopians, or any other kind of powerful being...merely the mechs." asked Enigma's Hand.
"The mechs serve my enemy, and he would have entered your universe had you allowed the black hole open." replied Enigma.
"But how was the bomb able to stay intact within the reactor chamber? It should have dissolved into atoms or less."
"One of my enemy's greatest secrets. I would wish to find that out in time, but for now, rest. You deserve it."
"Of course, master." said Enigma's Hand as he then went back to the front of the sanctuary. There he found Terra, or her sister, meditating with Baal beside her. Still no one has told them of how they were rescued and who they were rescued by. Enigma's Hand would have told them, but he was rather...shy of himself.
Enigma's Hand snapped out of it, thinking to himself, "I must not let my emotions control me. If they want to know, then they will ask."
"Agreed" replied Enigma who was listening to Enigma's Hand's inner conflict, "Don't let your humanity get to you, you must control yourself as well as your powers."
"Of course, master."
Baal looked up and then said, "May I help you?"
"No...", replied Enigma's Hand, "No, you can't..."
He then walked out of the chapel as Baal stared at Enigma's Hand, wondering what was wrong inside of his head.

As Enigma's Hand walked through the halls, he saw the other sister walking around with a book in her hand. She stood upright, signifying that she wasn't Terra, rather the other sister.
"Should I tell her? Or should I not?" thought Enigma's Hand.
"Why should this matter to you?" replied Enigma's Hand, "What is left of your humanity was gone ever since you put on my mask and gauntlets."
"But I am Geist, no more. Merely your hand, master."
"Indeed, and I cannot afford to have such insolent human thoughts disrupt our plans!"
"You mean Your plans?"
"Silence! I will not have such chaotic behavior in my servant!"
"Of course, master, I spoke out of line...my apologies..."

Alex flew to Himalayah. A blizzard raged over the wast mountain tops, making it difficult to navigate for most ships. But not for 'Nightwing'. Equipped with newest prototype navigation systems, this vessel was technologically better than Federation's Alpha class 'Pegasus' type freighter. Udirah pointed where to go, and soon Alex saw a magnificent citadel was carved straight in the mountain. The round towers were smooth and majestic, and seemed to be built just yesterday.
Alex landed the ship near the entrance. He and Udirah putted on fur cloaks and went to the citadel. Inside, there were murals depicting the history of Subterrans and early human civilizations, from their rise to the Cataclysm and the first Ice Age. Udirah and Alex moved deeper and deeper into the temple, until Udirah stopped by one mural. It showed two beings, a subterran and a human. The subterran was clearly a younger version of Udirah.
- Shows this mural great past. Young I was then, master of our combat I was.

They walked over to the spiral staircase. Young subterrans and their older teachers walked like an endless stream. Udirah and Alex finally came at last to a great hall. It was decorated by murals and statues of great subterran heroes. Three old subterrans sat in the middle.

- Yes, your presence is a great honor indeed Kahela Mensha- said the second one, a frilled lizard.- Who is your companion? The Power flows strong within him.

Alex bowed down, and the trio went down the stairs.

Alex didn't said anything more, as he was admiring the murals and the inner beauty of the citadel.
They soon reached the dormitory area.
- 252, 253, 254. Here's your room Alexandrou. You'll have to share it with my grandson- Said Mandalah.- I really hope that he won't be a headache to you as he is for me.
He sighed and opened the door. A young subterran, almost an exact copy of Mandalah, lied in his bed, and was examining Alex's psi-amp.
- Keralh, I don't think it's wise to take your new roommate's items without his permission.
- I am sorry grandpa.- he looked guilty. The Psi-amp flew into Alex's hand. With it's shaft retracted, it looked more of a scepter than a staff.
- It is quite alright. At least he didn't activated it. This device is designed specifically to amplify my brain waves only. It allows me to use The Power more efectively, and to a greater extent. And as for you lad, you better not touch it if you want to be knighted.
- Sorry.- His eyes were shining with curiosity.- My grandpa told me the stories of your people, but I'm seeing one for real!
- You'll be seeing me for awhile. Masters Udirah, Mandalah, good night.
- Tommorow construct your weapon we will. Good night.
Alex looked at his roommate and smiled.
- It was a while since I lived in a dorm. Well- He took off his upper armor plating- Good night lad.- He was exhausted, and collapsed on an unmade bed.

Terra finally came out of the deep healing trance, feeling much better. She notices Baal sitting next to her, and realises he must have been talking to her. She blushes a bit. "My appologies Ranger-san." she didn't know his name yet, nor any of the names of the people here. "My body may have been present, but my mind was eslewhere."

Meanwhile Big Ben finds Jorn. He is his old hobbling, eye patched self however. "Jorn, need you to find the others, have a few assingments I need to give out. I think this attack was part of something bigger. Emily might even be our ace in the hole on this one, with her technical expertise..so try to find her first."

Alex and Udirah were sitting in a cave full of beautifull crystals. Alex has taken two old gauntlents to use in building his weapons. Other parts were stacked on a piece of finest white silk. Alex already had chipped some of the blueish grey crystals, and was ready to begin. A gauntlet was floating in the air, and Alex began to build his weapon. Elements of the blade flew onto the gauntlet and it seemed to weld themselves together. After eight long hours his blades were finished. Alex activated them. Blueish white blades buzzed for the first time. They bursted from his hands, and energy stream coiled around his arm, fueling the blade.
- Succeeded you have. Masterpiece your weapons are. Leave you I must, meditate and bond with your weapons you need.
Alex deactivated his blades and started meditating. The serenity within the cave calmed his mind and soothed his soul. For the first time in many days he felt calm and stress free. He meditated for many hours, achieving almost perfect balance with his weapons. He finished his meditation, exited the cave and was greeted by Keralh.
- You look different Alex. A bit pale. Feeling alright?
- Never been better lad. I feel like... evolving. To what- I don't know. I guess it's dinner time is it?
- Yes it is. Tell me, is true that you can create a storm by using The Power?
- Only by using my psi-amp. But after that I'm exhausted and need at least three days to regain my strenght. I can tell you more after dinner.

Baal finished his prayer and answered:
"Ha ha ha, Ranger-san?? Sorry, its funny, ha ha. You can call me Baal, haven't you heard that while battle against those machines? Alex called me so several times, oh if you know who is Alex. Anyway earlier or later you'll get it all. By the way, I must admit you were good in that battle, so we all should thank you."
