Online Strike-Out Generator
I created a basic Strikeout Generator online, because the offline Strikeout Generators are a little hard to use with the copy/pasting system in MSN and can also raise suspicions. Below is the link to it:
Strikeout Generator
To use it, you must create an account, preferably with the same nickname you use in forum/ToH.
The advantages are:
- both players get to see the pairs, which also stay recorded forever, so fraud can be easily noticed
- you can pick the number of pairs you want to generate (3,5,7,9) ... could be more also, but it seemed useless
- you can pick the game with Mirror/No mirror
- hero will be random, for several reasons, mostly because there are different hero bans on maps, and getting one banned hero, can screw up the strike-out, but also because I am lazy to add all those heroes .
In the end, if someone is willing to make a list with the heroes, I might consider adding the generate hero option too, perhaps map based even... depending on time.
Usage:
- click the link to the generator
- create the account/login(first login is automatic)
- if you want to create a new strike-out, click New Strikeout button, and choose the options. You can choose a Secret Key, so uninvited guests don't arrive
- if you want to join an Open Strike-outs, click the strike-out link you want and join(of course, you need to need the secret key, if any) ... Only at the time when 2nd player joins, pairs are actually generated, and 2nd player will be the first to see them
- if 1st player wants to see them , he must refresh main page, and click on the corresponding link from Closed Strike-outs
- if you are curious , you can see other people strike-outs

Very nice, indeed Adding list of heroes is what is needed to be complete. Adding list of available heroes for every map out there is not worth an effort. And you would have to update it with every new map. Still, it's not to same if you go with dungeon against orcs, or if you go with Lethos against them. So, just a general list of heroes, I think.

I have asked this before, but maybe someone can make it clear to me again....
Why bother adding the heroes at all... Since noone every makes anyone use the randomly generated hero anyways??

Jinxer, Elvins spot on. A clearcut example: If i can strike out either
Kythra (me) vs Deleb (foe)
Lethos (me) vs Deleb (foe)
I would strike out the first one since the odds of getting a decent starting hero (as i will define it, of course depends on circumstance) will be maybe 50% in the first one, and 100% in the last one (since i like Lethos). If i do get Sinitar, i would consider picking him ahead of lethos etc, but its quite clear that the hero in the generator makes a world of difference in these situations. Probabilities.

IMO the hero u get in strikeout is very important...just as fraudatio said..sometimes u have for example option 1 and 2 playing against orcs..and option 1 is haaggash and option 2 is someone else...so IMO everyone would strike out option 1 and leave option 2 even if option 1 and 2 are the same - orcs!!!
so hero generated at strike out matters at all!

Seems very good, ... only that, I prefere to strike on "duel" map
y? because when I stroke with pera, Ive been 3 times sylvan...imagine that I also saw here 2 same factions vs another 2 same factions....may be Im wrong, not sure
Also doing it classical way on duel map, I can do some spells and encourage my side, disrupting opponents one...
again, good job Tower

Maybe so.. I keep forgetting that I want the world to function more based on Common Sense.. but it keeps getting proven over and over.. that Common Sense is not so common.
And before you can say it.. I Fall into the Common Sense Catagory UBI for example falls far far out of the common sense catagory

I do hear those games are fun.. but the part I dont get about those games, is... there is no ending.. no beating the game.. its is on going and you just keep raising your level.. then most people get bored with it and just start over making another guy.. so they have 4-5 guys that are level 80 etc.. lol.. When there are a million people with Level 80 mages... there is no top of the rankings is there?? Or maybe there is.. I dont know... Enlighten us

I don't play WOW. Sometime i play Warcraft 3, WC3 have nice ranking - you press the button and auto matching system search opponent for you with appropriate skill. No hamachi, msn etc - you press the button and in 10 seconds you are in game. Ehh, if Heroes 5 have same quality of multi player ... I hope Heroes 6 will have ...

I think i have to explain myself.
Quote: No one here have common sense, people with common sense play WOW and Warcraft 3
This was a joke, of cos we (TOHers) have common sense, but then i enter WC3 Battle.net and see info like - "There are currently 71123 users playing 1976 games of WC3, and 170881 users playing 45848 games on Battle.net" ... And compare this with info from TOH page - "Total games reported 6411". This mean in couple of hours on battle.net are more games than in entire history of heroes 5! I was shocked then i realize this ... Looks like we (heroes 5 fun's) are very uncommon in this world Why ?
