New Project - WoG Creatures Archive
During the Christmas, i sorted all my Heroes 3 material (creatures in directory with def and screenshot). The result: 193 creatures defs.
My idea is to create a new website with all the defs. The main features of the website will be:
- creatures on categories (shooter, walker, flyer);
- creatures on levels (level1, level2, level3 etc.)
- full animation preview;
- battlefield screenshot;
- possibility to download the creature in a wog file (not the simple def);
- possibility to download the creature in a installer;
- possibility to select what creature to replace (in the far future);
- eye catchy website template;
That's all for the moment.
I'm searching for a team. Not all the defs are named, not all creature have names. I'm searching for:
1. Testers: persons who can test the creature, write the feedback and take the screenshots from game
2. People with imagination: we'll need name for creatures;
3. People with Photoshop/Gimp knowledge (excluding Paint): we'll ned to extract frames and create another instances (creature on map, portrait, attack frame, portrait in town);
4. Def Makers: we'll need to assemble the creatures' instances and portraits into defs.
5. People with free time and decent English speakers: we'll need to write instructions or correct the website.
I can make all the things by myself, but it will take long (few months). If someone is interested, send me a PM.
I'll come with the domain name, with the hosting and i'll help in every aspect of this project.
For the team selection, i will watch your activity on this board. The guys who are pretending they are good at something and on the board they only ask for help will be rejected.

maybe he could edit the creature sections with things from your project. instad of making two websites there could be only one. if u both want ofcourse
EDIT. oh and i have ~300 defs for new creatures

Yeah, i had ~300 defs but i deleted all the recolored creatures and all the Dragon variants.
Mitabrin made a good website, but i want other features (creatures for dummies). Not everyone has the knowledge to download the def and pack it into lod file.
Also, the page will be hosted on a paid account with a domain name. You'll download the creatures with no waiting time. Also, the creature will be in two variants: wog or exe.
I'll start to work on the platform. You're on the list

The problem is that they are made for a specific map and do not fit with Heroes sounds. I am changing all combat sounds, and this takes more space. With original wavs it sounds weird. They come with 200-250 82M files.

I got about 100+ creatures def from ppl, include source file about 300+ MB, if you want i will upload, but i think many of them you ready
have
Can i become tester or def maker ?

At this moment, it's hard for me to sort your defs. I will upload all the creatures on the page and if you have a creatures that's not on the page, send it to me.

dmad - You know, I have quite weird idea of something that could help in creature making so much that... making a good looking creature will last very short period of time....
